That picture shows exactly how vegemite should be eaten. A spread of butter topped with and extremely thin scrape of vegemite. Too many not used to the finer points of vegemite try to spread it thick like peanut butter.
I was born in England and have eaten Marmite and vegemite. The Aussie version is definitely better!

I tried vegemite years ago and the only way I could accurately describe its taste : salty coffee.
That’s funny you mentioned that. I knew a kid from New Zealand when I was in H.S. and he loved Peanut Butter. Of course, I don’t know if all New Zealanders like PB. LOL!!!
