Amen. The old “legend” of the Texas Ranger facing a mob comes to mind. One mob, one Ranger, one shotgun.
From a buddy who lives very close by:
“Probably a mexican gang from the high school. The train station is across from Sequoia high school, a fairly bad local high school. Beautiful campus that’s wasted on many of the students.”
Redwood City has a large illegal immigrant population. Though the real estate prices are stupid expensive, there are some seedy areas.
It wasn't an act of terror, either, if you catch my drift.
Thanks!!
I've not heard of Mexicans doing this sort thing. Not saying it doesn't happen, but every incident I've read about involves blacks*.
*Pet peeve - I understand that "Amish" is a code word for blacks, but it strikes me as giving in to the PC police to use that term. Crime and gang attacks are mostly committed by BLACKS, and we should not be shy about pointing it out.
(Rant not directed at your post, FP)
Blacks make up ~8% of the population of Redwood City, while Hispanics make up ~52%. The only place with a large black population in that part of the Bay Area is E. Palo Alto.
Knowing the area, I also would suspect Mexican gangs or gang-wannabes.
I expected the same thing, and thought the “take” of a long time area resident interesting, especially since it was opposite both of our expectations. He lives in RWC proper.
And on your rant, there have been mod deletions at some point. I don’t disagree with you. I’m not sure where the line is, and don’t know if that is the reason for the use of “Amish”. And depending on context, Amish can also mean durka-durkas on FR.
This does seem like the type of crimes you get when you start emptying out your prisons, so as to protect the BLOATED pensions and benefits of school teachers.
Glad I live Texas, we’d rather have the teacher make do with a bit less money, then let huge numbers of FELONS out of jail.
WOW! Now that would be an exciting train ride.
