What he's saying is that the Justice Dept is no longer going to enforce the law of the land, right?
It’s fine to get it moving. The mood of the country is changing on this.
And don’t worry about Biden. He is not a ravening, America-hating wolf like Obama. The worst he could do is try to get Obama’s favorite legislation passed with a kind of sympathy vote.
Nice!
I'm not sure Newt should open his pie hole about impeachment after the debacle he gave us last time.

I’m all for impeaching the POS but I don’t see how it will ever happen. The Dems in the Senate will not go for it. I think we are probably going to be in this turmoil on a daily basis with BHO and his criminal marxist minions trying to destroy our country until January 2013 when we hopefully swear a Republican in as President.
Even that is too high a position for a RAT. Case in point, the liberal communist San Francisco sewer is malfunctioning due to low-water-flow toilets and too much communist shit.

Waiting that long is not guaranteed success either, and if you consider how much mischief he’s already gotten up to, and how long it is until then, what’s to say we won’t have to try and convince people in 2013 to impeach him for the things he’s doing now, maybe with less chance of success then?
Impeaching puts them on the defensive, and they’ll have to give their attention to it rather than whatever other nonsense they’re just now thinking about sneaking or forcing through in future. He definitely could be impeached with the House under Republican control.
Conviction and punishment isn’t as certain, but is certainly a possibility with more Democrat than Republican senators up for election in 2012. Regardless of complete success it puts the case in front of the American public, who are very much feeling the effects of the current president’s combination of incompetence and malice, much more so than they were feeling the effects of the last impeached president’s perjury in relation to dalliance with an intern. That Gingrich was involved with that impeachment as well, makes his opinion on this one’s success of even greater weight.
If the legislature wants to initiate impeachment proceedings its OK with me. I’m just afraid they won’t do it because they don’t think they can win.
That’s the thing. Those legislators are there representing us. People on here and elsewhere have been talking about doing this for quite a while (76% of those who voted here in a straw poll a little while ago), and now, finally it’s been broached in public, and talked about by a member of congress, who’s looking to see what support there would be for it - his contact information I posted above; let him know you support impeachment now, that that’s what you and people who care about this country want. This is a big break, and it can happen.
Since the whole idea of impeachment is to get rid of the Kenyan usurper, you’d need a majority in the Senate to do so. While I don’t doubt the current House would impeach, the fact the Senate wouldn’t convict is so much political jagging off.
I think the attack needs to be carried out on all legal fronts, including states passing more stringent proof-of-eligibility laws and courts forcing Hussein to release his long-form birth certificate, along with all his college transcripts and financial aid documents.
I suspect that the reason the latter are so elusive is that it would document the fact Obama declared himself an Indonesian citizen to get financial aid, which if he was in fact born in Hawaii would be prima facie evidence of fraud.
If you consider it a waste of time, don’t get involved, don’t contact and let the congressman know that you support impeaching; or if you feel strongly against it you could let him know that you are. I consider it worthwhile, as do others - about 76% of people who voted in a very informal straw poll on here a little while ago. I’ve written above in a few posts here that there’s more good to be done than just ridding the office of him, his puppet-masters, fellow-travelers, thugs, and enablers. Pursuing this on all legal fronts is a good idea - this is a very important legal front.
I agree with you on the birth issue - it definitely needs to be looked at, legitimate questions need to be answered, if the Constitution isn’t just a meaningless piece of paper. It could even be part of the impeachment proceedings, forcing a look too at things like his student records where he may have (or may not have, for all I know) been enrolled and received preferential treatment not just as a member of a protected class but as a foreign student with dual citizenship.
I didn’t say it was a waste of time. But all avenues need to be pursued. Nothing would make me happier than seeing him taken away in handcuffs. But I just don’t see the numbers just YET. In a few months’ time and a few more egregious steps towards tyranny by the Kenyan and that could rapidly change.
At least Biden would be entertaining for a few years.
We’ll be waiting a very long time if we’re waiting for perfect conditions. Part of creating good conditions is up to us, going about this seriously, presenting the facts objectively, doing it civilly, even if those opposed, irrationally or otherwise, are uncivil, don’t rely on facts, or treat us as people who absolutely could not be serious about this - you can imagine the Saturday Night Live intonation associated with it.
There are people who wouldn’t normally consider themselves conservative, moderates, independents, who could be convinced, and there are Democrats who switch sides, many in the South even becoming Republicans very recently. We can proceed with the goal in mind, and what seemed impossible could get ever more possible as we go.
Goethe said something about boldness having genius in it, a famous quote.
Impeachment is done ONLY by the House. It then moves to the Senate for trial. Clinton WAS IMPEACHED. Senate just didn’t find him guilty.
I don’t believe obama is the great dragon—he’s not smart enough; but I do believe that he will usher him onto the world stage. And I believe that George Soros is making all this happen. He sold his soul to the devil during WWII and now he’s paying the devil back.
Thanks for the popcorn link.
