Mine, too. They are fun to watch. Their coloring is so spiffy and clean. And I love their calls. My sister says the secondary call is “feeeed me”. lol And, I am very fond of the little nuthatch that visits my feeder.

We got us a little nuthatch, a darling thing.

And she’s not afraid of humans. Husband, myself, and dog all go out in the morn to exercise, throw ball, that sort of stuff. This red-breasted nuthatch walks up and down the nearby tree and flies right on in to pick up a seed out of the feeder, never mind who’s standing right by the thing.

At times she’s but an arm’s length away. Of course we stand stock still when she flies in, grabbing a seed and flying off as if to say “Don’t mind me, I’ll just get me a seed and be on my way.”

Heh.

The chickadees are quite brazen too but this nuthatch is beyond adorable.
