Palin vs. Romney. If both seek the presidency, it could split the Republican party.

Which is exactly why Obama will win again.

Seriously? Obama will win again because of my one (if necessary write-in) vote for Sarah Palin? Who knew I had such power?

Until she stops acting like an establishment RINO, I will do whatever I can to ensure she does not make it on the ballot to begin with.
Just sayin.

Romney’s supporters tend to be college-educated, while Palin draws her support from people who didn’t get college diplomas

Ramesh, you idiot.....those without diplomas simply see that those with the diplomas have UTTERLY AND COMPLETELY FAILED!

Do NOT make it sound like a case of being "anti-education".

That’s been my belief for a while. As such, I believe we need to focus on taking the Senate through grass roots movements in vulnerable states. 3 months ago, I thought we could do it for sure but this mid-west class warfare business changes the game in ways that we can’t fully understand right now. What we do know is that the democrats didn’t really have a card to play prior to this. Now they can lay down the class card. Rand Paul going after social security is making it even worse. IMO of course.

So what does this mean, Palin should drop out of the competition if she beats all other of the candidates and it's down to a race between her and Romney?

This guy should find something to do because he has too much time on his hands and this also shows just which way the National Review is leaning.

Ramesh Ponnuru, start practicing saying President Palin. :O)

When considering Romney for the presidency, you may as well change his name to McRomney, for it will be 2008 all over again and we'll have another RINO running, hand-picked by the MSM and the democrats.

The real funny part - and the most suspicious - I don't hear anything negative about McRomney from the MSM, or the leftists. You don't because he's their pick, he's the man that they know turns off Republicans, which could equal an obama win.

This country doesn't need four years of a RINO, we may as well keep obama, he's more fun to make fun of.

Yes, if both of those two people run, there is going to be a divide in the GOP...however, the TPM vastly outnumbers the RINO's, and they support Palin. Take their numbers out of the race, and obama wins.

But then, maybe that's what the RINO's really want...obama to win.

So, if we don’t want Palin or Romney ( I sure don’t)

I understand Romney but what do you have against Palin?

Dick Morris put this to rest last night on Hannity, and he was right on the money.

Our nominee will be running against ObamaCare, so how in the world can the RomneyCare creator run against his own program?

Besides all his other glaring faults, Romney isn’t electable because he simply couldn’t be effective.

RomneyCare has him dead in the water and easily defeatable.

We have several good choices.

Herman Cain for one. There is still lots of time for us to find a good one. This idea of keeping up and promoting failed and controversial candidates has to stop.

WE either start from scratch and find a candidate we can all get behind, that the MSM cannot damage or destroy again, or it is truly all over. There is no longer any room for experimentation or proving a point based on rigid principle.

Palin is not a conservative? That is news to most of us. Celebrity, yes. Conservative, 110%. Probably the most conservative of anyone running on the Rep. ticket.

I have no confidence in her at all, on any level.

It won’t split the party. If Romney wins, Palin will endorse him and everyone on herewill do exactly what she says. If Palin wins, she will pick a RINO VP and that will give the RINOs peace of mind to vote for her.

A Romney vs. Palin match-up would, for one thing, be a straight-up power struggle between the tea parties and the Republican establishment. Romney has avoided association with the tea parties and Palin has courted them. In a Palin vs. Romney race, the party establishment would rally behind him...

What else do you need to know?

Hmmm, I must have missed something. When has Sarah Palin ever acted like an establishment RINO?

Herman Cain is ok, I guess. But I’d put him in the experimental category. The only conservative choice, in the literal (not ideological) sense of the word, it seems to me, is Daniels.

Somebody need to stick Romney in a carrier, strap it to the roof of an SUV, and drive him back to Taxachussetts.

There is no longer any room for experimentation or proving a point based on rigid principle.

So, what the hell, let's all just sell our souls to some politician who doesn't even stand for what we say we believe in. That'll fix everything.
