No Drilling

Open borders, flood the hospitals, schools, welfare, ....

Let all the “peaceful” Muslims in

ETC.

If you wanted to destroy America, you’d do everything Obama is doing. It’s being done ON PURPOSE.

By a great deal more than just him, although I will agree that he does give some leverage to these issues. Far from a fan of these issues, the real problem is that very few people in D.C. politics wish to address these issues, because disaster is perhaps the most popular phrase in D.C. politics, they need crime, illegal immigration, healthcare, expensive oil, and the like to permeate heavily through the nation and remain unsolved, specifically because these issues remaining largely intact keeps the fuel for them giving arguments to their various ideas, or gives them a self-fulfilling prophecy for them to use and keep their way being the “right” way. I mean, without these issues being as big as they are, how appealing do their policies look?

As far as Obama is concerned, he is an elitist jerk that gives you an example of why the Founding Fathers were concerned about limits on government power and individual rights, because it is possible to have politicians who are corrupt and blatantly don’t care for much more than their own power and time in office. Our nation was based on the premise that the people are an active force that don’t spontaneously take the words of politicians, because without it, we might as well degrade to some form of tyranny, because people trust the government so much that they throw their rights away to them.

Sometimes I think so. On top of it I'm a union member and half my friends from school are hardcore moonbats. It's pretty lonely at times. FR and talk radio are my only reminders of sanity.

Remember this woman?

If we had a honest media someone would have done a follow-up interview with Peggy Joseph and found out how she is doing now in 2011 what with Obama paying her gas and mortgage. But no, the word "follow up" is no longer in the journalists lexicon.

Remember this gushing? "Oh gracious God..............."

Obama and Julio

My two most favorite you tube clips of the past decade, BOTH exemplifying why America is in the trouble we are in.

Thanks 2ndDivisionVet.
Obama's moratorium on drilling and his anti-oil policies continue to rattle energy markets and fuel ongoing price hikes at the pump. And no one -- least of all Obama -- is surprised. On the campaign trail in 2008, then-candidate Obama called for cap-and-tax policies under which energy prices would "necessarily skyrocket." Studies have since questioned the environmental and economic value of such policies. Undaunted, the Obama administration canceled hundreds of gas- and oil-drilling leases in Western states. Obama then slapped a series of bans on offshore drilling. Two federal courts have struck down portions of these moratoriums, but, as with the ongoing implementation of Obamacare (declared unconstitutional by a U.S. district judge), the administration flouts the courts and continues to choke off domestic oil production.

See, the issue here is that Mr. Obama is giving the country what it wants. Sadly our country is in BAD shape and gives no thought to what it NEEDS. Obama is simply turning the government into a sort of parent spoiling his child. This does three things. Ruins the “child” in later (and present) life, runs the “parent” into debt, and (when this happens on a national scale) turns the economy straight downward. Unions, Social Security, Obamacare (obamacare....does anyone else see something wrong with the fact that he is pictured as a savior to the nation?), and many other programs are wrong and need to be stopped i agree...but when the people of this country do not change, neither will the country. A turnaround in America will take a change in the hearts of Americans. A strive to be a BETTER person, not just who you must be to get by. A strive for justice that made this country great when it first began. Imagine it.....washingtoncare. Nationalized healthcare from George Washington? Its a laughing matter. Everyone knows it would never have happened. So why is it suddenly constitutional? Because its what this country wants. But as a famous man once said, “Since when do people have a clue what they want?” The Constitution was written when men were still ashamed when they did wrong. When men still knew what was best for a country. When men stood up when something was wrong. When men taught their kids right from wrong and led by example. When men looked to God for answers, not their government. Thats in one way why they left Europe. The government was oppressing them. Anyone else feel that way? 4 dollar gas? 50% illiteracy rate in adults? 68% of americans overweight? 2 million americans in prison and 13 million arrests? 528 milllion dollar increase for prisons to CARE for crimanals?? Does anyone else see these as serious threats to our society? Obama may have “executive experience”, but he has no idea how to parent a country.

The issue is not the state of foriegn countries we compete with in buying our oil, its the fact that to “preserve our planet” (which was out here by God for our use, by the way.) the EPA has said we cannot tap into the large reserves of oil waiting on the land in OUR country, and Obama has agreed. I do agree that may be causing a hike in prices, but why is that an issue in the first place? We can let the Middle East “destroy” its side of the planet, but we cant “destroy” our side? We should be using our own supply of oil, that would solve us being affected by the development of other country’s automobile usage as i see it. Not to mention that most times, in a national economy at least, high demands dont always force a high price. Prices generally fluctuate regardless of demand, so this may not be the issue at all.
