There was a creep describing his experiences with prostitutes and other ladies of easy virtue, how some had been molested when younger and he didn’t care, how bestiality and incest should be legalized, etc.
It was a wide ranging discussion.
The thread was a perfect illustration of how johns exploit prostitutes and if it were not for johns, there would be no prostitutes.
The fact is that when a society promotes meaningless sex, and meaningless sex (aka outside of committed marriage) becomes the norm, or very widespread, it inevitably leads to social breakdown. Why? Beacuse without stable families, there is no next generations. The percentage of either killed babies (no future) or feral worthless humanimals becomes too great for civilization to carry.
Then bigger dogs take over, or just plain anarchy, or the barbarians break down the gates, etc.
Another point is that it takes a user or exploiter mentality (and creates more of the same) to use others as sex objects without love or commitment. And that user/exploiter mentality seeps into every aspect of life. Then the rule of law, honor, respect for others, truth, and all that good stuff goes out the window too. The virtues are connected. Toss one out, and lo and behold - the others were tied onto it! They’re all gone.
Humans without virtue are worse than animals, because they have wits and thumbs. Animals just follow their nature. Humans who lose their virtue and conscience are far more dangerous than rabid animals. Sexual immorality is not harmless; people should be ashamed of sexual immorality; now they’re more ashamed of over eating than hiring prostitutes or using porn or having casual sex with people they don’t know or care about.
All these acts harden and coarsen peoples’ hearts so gradually they have a harder time hearing the inner voice telling them what is true and good. And what about children? Sex between a fertile woman and man often results in pregnancy. So abortion becomes a necessity when people are jumping on each other like animals in a field.
Many people do not like this but facts is facts. The stable family is the bedrock of human civilization. Promiscuity, homosexuality, sex outside of/before etc marriage all destroy families.
It’s that simple.
I don’t think I substantially disagree with any of that. That goes a little beyond answering my post. The first paragraph did that. I just got the impression from the first post of yours that I responded to that any disagreement was asking for a zot.
Excellent and accurate analysis! But not one most Americans take seriously anymore, is it? That’s why it is not just descriptive but prophetic.
