Rahm Emanuel said Wisconsin Gov. Walker pushing a "political agenda"

CHICAGO - Mayoral hopeful Rahm Emanuel, President Obama's former chief of staff, on Saturday blasted Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker's move against state unions, which have triggered mass protests in Madison.

Emanuel was asked about the Wisconsin situation by reporters at his Hyde Park campaign office--down the street from the Museum of Science and Industry and near the Lake Michigan shore. Emanuel stopped at the office as he sought to get out the vote on the South Side in advance of Tuesday's election to replace Mayor Daley, who is retiring.

"I think what the governor there is doing is not just fiscal, but a political agenda. That's not what we are about.

"...I would totally reject the approach the governor of Wisconsin has taken," Emanuel said.

He added "I totally reject the notion that it would happen here," while cautioning the city would have to "live within our means."

I am far removed from Wisconsin and it looks to me like Walker is only defending his oath of office.

Yes, doing the will of the voters is, I suppose, a “political agenda”.

Did I ever mention how much I loathe liberals. Do they every care about the future of democracy? Do they ever care about the debt that they leave our children? Education, yes. Health Care, yes. Take care of the poor, of course. But not to the point where you bankrupt the system. For the love of God, man...

I’m just sittin’ back and grinning from ear to ear over all of this!

This is BRILLIANT strategy. Get this really HARD, controversial stuff out of the way (like, within 6 weeks of taking office? Hello?) and the rest of it will roll like water off a duck!

I’m really impressed with this man; and I’m not easily impressed! :)

Gee Rahm, isn’t that what ALL politicians do - push a political agenda?

Rahm needs to quit smoking his tutus & toe shoes.

The ballerina is sticking his nose into Wisconsin matters.
That creep will have plenty of stank to deal with in Ill-n-annoyed. At least Scott Walker is a Gov. with principles and a spine unlike the dreck of IL. which has a future date with economic meltdowns just up the kicked can road.

Rahm, what are you gonna do about Chicago’s budget shortfall?

So STFU, Rahm.

Okay, so we are in a new world order. Our farm teams are producing some pretty astounding talent. Quick poll, which of the young turks do we love the most? (and this is a toughie):

Jan Brewer
Chris Christie
Scott Walker

The future is looking brighter.

Well said, fhayek. “Did I ever mention how much I loathe liberals?” Does despise, abhor, detest and can’t bear to look at their ugly faces and listen to their vitriol for one more second.. mean the same thing? :-)
I have purged my address book of Libs: and that includes family! Feels pretty good!

Well, one thing we know for sure is that Obama, Rahm, Pelosi, and Reid would never push a ‘political agenda’. lol

Man, sometimes you have to wonder if these nitwits ever listen to themselves.
