SEATTLE -- Dozens of protestors marched on the streets on Friday, calling for justice in the fatal shooting of Native American woodcarver John T. Williams.

The crowd gathered at Westlake Center, then soon took to the streets in protest of King County Prosecutor Dan Satterberg's decision not to file criminal charges against Ian Birk, a former Seattle police officer.

But what started out as a peaceful protests with signs and slogans quickly boiled over as protestors clashed with police, prompting some officers to use pepper spray on the crowd.

Marchers smashed the back window of a police cruiser as tensions continued to escalate.

There are infiltrators...this is how it’s done. This is all being coordinated from DC most likely the WH. It’s why Trumpka and the community organizer Obama meet so often. He was trained well. We just can’t let it escalate or we’re done.

The officer/murderer and the city created the mess to begin with.

The perp brought a knife and the cop brought a gun, just like chairman obama talked about.

Washington has a law passed in 1985 that basically give police blanket immunity from prosecution as long as malice cannot be proved and something else like a correct state of mind. That law needs to be changed.

The Seattle Police Firearms review board unanimously voted this a bad shoot and one of the board members said this was the worst thing he had ever seen in his 30 years on the board by a long shot. The officer violated virtually every rule when confronting someone for whatever reason he was, still not clear.

I know Williams wasn't a saint, but it's crazy that 25k ar in a snit in Madison Wisconsin over budgetary BS while this goes unanswered.

Birk is On PAID Leave!! Williams is Dead!

Dozens?? Dozens of protesters in a city the size of Seattle is nothing.

I actually thought that the result of the investigation was over critical of the officer, an affirmative action judgment.

He should be on the end of a rope

My sense is he knew what he was going to do when he sighted Williams.

All I know with certainty is that Williams was threatening nobody and Birk jumped on him like the gestapo, hollered vers your papers and started shooting.

Sounds like the Marine who was gunned down in the Las Vegas Costco.

Is it open season on citizens by cops, now?
