Sadly this fits with the sex crime charges against the UN blue helmet “peacekeepers” in Kosovo and the experience the Italian Navy has with Albanian white slavers, drug runners and kidnap for extortion gangs. Favorite tactic: throw kids overboard so the Italians stop pursuit to rescue the kids.

There are and were no “blue helmet” peacekeepers in Kosovo. All NATO and under NATO (not UN) command. There was also a UN Mission (UNMIK), but it was strictly civilian.
