President Obama watched Hosni Mubarak's speech to Egyptians from the conference room on Air Force One, White House press secretary Robert Gibbs tells the pool. Obama is now headed to the White House for a meeting with his national security team, moments after Mubarak said he wouldn't step down but that he had given some powers to his vice president.
The kenyan is a walking catastrophe. A bad luck charm. A jinx. First it’s the Bears, now this. Ohhh whoaaa is him.
If Barak had ANY political acumen at all, or if he had not insisted on surrounding himself with sycophantic worshipers, he would have seen this coming and tried to get Mubarak to defuse the situation by announcing a more democratic form of government.
But no, he had to go with against our ally (again) and try to install a theocracy in Egypt.
Obammy is a punk & the whole world knows it
Nervous finger?
POLITICO’s Abby Phillip reports that upon landing at the White House in his helicopter, Obama ignored all the shouted questions from reporters about Egypt. (”Did you speak to Mubarak?” “Did Mubarak go far enough?”)
I hear you, it wouldn’t take much O2 for its size.
Boy, that instills us with a lot of confidence.
Once again Barry comes across as INEFFECTIVE in foreign policy. He commands no respect.
Obama is now headed to the White House for a conference call with his boss the Saudi king.
So far Barry has pissed off the Saudi King, Pres Mubarak, and the Israelis are getting a little nervous. Elections do have consequences, I just hope the world can hold out another two years.
Obama will now make Mubarak the USs enemy. It will give Obama what he loves most - a community organizers cause.
As I’ve listened to the confused news coming out of Egypt, I’ve been thinking all day that Mubarak was setting Obamie up for a really big embarrassement.
Mubarak scores a homerun. Obama scores another big “0”.
How do you say “mincemeat” in Egyptian?
He can attempt all the vindictive tricks he chooses, but he won’t succeed against the likes of Mubarak.
We're wide open, and our capital has fallen to a foreign coup.
hmmmmm.....I thought I had faintly heard “OHHH SH*T!” from somewhere 30,000 feet above my head...
Mubarak has been at this for 60 years, and in charge for 30. He has quite a few tricks up his sleeve. He knows how to deal with enemies and how to hold on to power and it is now clear that he fully intends to hold onto that power as long as possible, at least until September.
This happened before. Obama calls for something, Hosni does the opposite. The Saud is right- Obama should not humiliate Hosni. THAT is a lot of the problem. Grandstanding Obama causing problems. Much of what Obama does day by day, should be done by cabinet-level or lower subordinates. Forget policy differences, or his lack of backbone, or inability to make decisions- he’s trying to be POTUS in addition to SoS.
It looks to me like the Saudi king just put a sandal up the azz of Soros and his minions. And somewhere farther down the food chain, Jarrett is placing the precious in a pod so that his software can be updated.
“Barack. Barack Hussein. Barack Hussein Obama. .....”
“Yes Mother.”
Hey, I just had a thought, do you think maybe he is using a false name so that he can’t be accidentally activated?
That VP that HM selected is one nasty dude. He is the only one who seems to be able to handle the Muzzie Bros...including the one in the White House.
Read a pretty long and interesting article on the guy a couple days ago.
CAIRO (AFP) 2210 GMT: An unnamed US administration official tells CNN that Mubarak’s speech was “not what we were told would happen, not what we wanted to happen.”
What a clown.
I would not put it past Obammy to order the military to attack Egypt. He’s not going to take rejection from his global subjects. He’s thinks he’s the president of the world - like the media says all the time.
:)
