I personally, as a guitar player, never liked his playing... maybe it was the heroin... IMHO. He is dead to me now.

Also as a guitar player, I have mixed feelings about his playing. The stuff on “Zoso”, especially The Song Remains The Same was probably his bestIMO. Doing Zep covers well demands sloppy playing, which isn’t easy to do on purpose! As far as his political and spriritual attitudes, Jimmy is a total waste product. I reserve the right to enjoy the music that I think is good, pan the cr*p that Zeppelin did (especially the filler tracks on double albums) and laugh at the stupid liberal musicians themselves.
