Now that's just downright mean spirited and totally outrageous. Are we to believe that Jack routinely wandered around in public carrying his shoe?

Go back and read about her sister and what she said...said ister was the goody, goody...blah, blah, blah etc... same derogatory tone as her summary of Jack.

I think she married him for all the wrong reasons...look at where she set up business.

As I said up-thread, I am no fashion plate, but I would not wander the freezing streets of Wilmington with one shoe in hand.
