Thank you for your kind words. The only person to blame is the monster who made the decision to pull out a gun and start shooting. Yeah, he should have been behind bars, but the decisions were his to make. He chose wrong and now three people are dead because of those bad choices.

This officer was only 24 years old. She completed her field training on 12/13/10. According to local news reports in the DFW metro area, Officer Jillian Smith was going to the apartment to take a domestic violence report from the other female victim. A ‘low priority’ call, according to the Arlington police chief.

She had wanted to be a police officer since the sixth grade. She told friends and family being an Arlington police officer was her dream job. She left this earth protecting the citizens and community she loved, in the capacity she had dreamed of since childhood. Prayers up for the family and friends she leaves behind.

It is sad that any officer, regardless of age has to answer a domestic, even to take a report, without backup.
