I just want to know if Coupe Deval went on TV in a nice warm sweater to announce the state of emergency to the public.

> Wait until the greenies get control of the country and
> ban “inappropriate technology”...like weather satellites.

Most of the greenies are city-dwelling metrosexuals. This will backfire hardest on them.

The greenies up here in the rural areas do know how to take care of themselves, but they are a royal pain to everybody else.

Greenies, like all communists, are noisy, meddling busybodies. Everbody has to live according to their world view. They can’t just let people be. The push-back is gonna be ugly if they don’t stop.

Good Rant, but did you mean Gender Nominative? (sorry)

4 inches so far. NYC is supposed to get 15 inches in one day. That happened here in Ohio a couple years ago and they closed Wright-Patterson AFB. Of course I had just made it to the gate when it closed. In the 15 miles I drove my 4 wheel drive I saw about 15 cars off the road and this was before 7 am. Sometimes it is best to close things.

LOL!!!

Shades of Mike DuCaca during the blizzard of ‘78.

I was living in NH, working in MA at that time. We had a 4WD, but it took us 6 hours to get home. At one point, we had to drive on the center strip to get around all the cars stuck and abandoned in the middle of the road.

When we got the to NH border, the road had been plowed clear, with huge snowbanks on the side of the road. Massachusetts was closed for a week. None of the roads in NH were closed, and the gubmint schools were only closed for a day or two.

Just did what you just said, wood stove is going, got the ducks and geese fed and taken care of, have a nice hot cup of joe and will snowblow tomorrow. Here in the western Maine mts, a pretty good snow storm, but so far can’t match the blizzard of ‘78 which the Boston media tries to do with every snowstorm since.

> Have you never driven and old Volkswagen?

LOL!

I had about 10 of these Hitler’s Revenge monstrosities from about ‘68 to ‘74. Pieces of junk, but they were cheap and reasonably easy to fix on your own.

The Border Patrol helicopters are out. A BP vehicle just went screaming up the hill, in search of what, or doing what, only the good Lord knows. Possible 70 degrees today. A Mexican semi just offloaded a couple hundred illegals outside Nogales. News indicates unemployment along the Arizona-Mexico border exceeds twenty percent. The interstate is dotted by vehicles with California license plates headed home to Mexico. A score of BP agents are playing grabbass at the Tubac border check point. Just another day in Aztlan.

ABSaLOOTLY NOT. It's definitely "Gender No R mative," '

I.E, In former times the word was "homophobic." But now, homophobes are people who think that two sexes are some sort of "norm."

"Gender," by the way, like "Nominative," is a grammatical term. "Gender" referrings to the classification of nouns in foreign languages as either "feminine," or "masculine," e.g. LA fille or LE fils. Actual living things belong (hopefully) to a "sex."

Enough of this frou-frou badinage!

Jump in your Four-Wheel Drive Escalade, pick up some bush meat, and go and see if Aunt Zeituni is OK. I hope she has a good stock of yams and that she remembered to bring the goat in.

I think they are all timed based on the Eclipse on a Winter Solstice. Ok, so no scientific proof here but just for giggles go back and see when the last Full Eclipse on a Winter Solstice took place... and look at the mini-ice age it was in. I know conspiracy abounds...

If I remember, Aunt Zeituni is down in Dorchester, over two hours away from us in good weather.

She ain’t my lookout.

0bama himself will have to look after her.

This storm was a fizzle in New Hampshire...didn’t even lose power, and when you consider the archaic state of the utility infrastructure around here; that’s saying something. A squirrel running along a wire usually knocks out power...

Massachusetts drivers have to be the worst in the world and all of them out together driving around in the snow is not a good idea. How does a cadilac do in the snow anyway?

I had some too — old VWs. ‘Black Flash’ was one. They were really easy to nudge back onto the highway if you spun off in the snow, tho. “You get the back bumper, I’ll get the front.” And putting on chains was not a problem. Staying warm inside them, however, was.

It is caused by Global Warming and by that Dick Cheney and his patriarchal gender normative diabolical Weather Machine, which is of course, George W. Bush's fault.

I'm in the SE. We got about 6" of snow, a decent storm, but down here it's the next ice age.

There was an article in the local fishwrap yesterday, touting more-or-less exactly what you described. It mentioned (and you missed) the incoming Republican Congress, which is sure to worsen GW in the coming two years, unless they come to their senses and jump on the bandwagon.

Notice how snow storms are only “disasters” when they hit the east coast? When they strike midwest flyover country, the media barely even notice.

(whiny squeaky liberal voice — a few inches of snow in Boston) — It’s NambyPamby Land. (I love that ad).
