It's going to be a long and expensive winter when New England liberals declare a state of emergency for each snow storm.

He has ordered all non essential state workers to not go to work. The jokes write themselves.

We’ve already got over a foot here in southwestern New Hampshire, but even our communist, metrosexual governor hasn’t called for “state of emergency”.

State of emergency is usually declared to solicit Federal moneys and to put the National Guard on alert for duty against looters and rioters.

We haven’t lost power, yet, but we have a backup generator and heat our house and water with wood. We also have a wood cookstove, but we use it mostly for heat, since we have a gas cookstove.

Plow is mounted on the truck, and I’ll be going out soon to clear the snow off the driveway. Neighbor just plowed the road. He beat me to it.

We’re ready.

Way to forget that you live north of the Mason-Dixon Line, Massholes.

People in the NE are such winter drama queens.

Why? There’s a few inches of snow on the ground in Boston.

(whiny squeaky liberal voice) state of emergency! it’s a state of emergency! there’s 4 inches of snow on the ground! state of emergency!

This is NOT a state of emergency! It is called a little bit of snow.

He was able to distance himself enough from the communist POTUS, and a lot of folks dislike the candidate the Republicans fielded in November, so we’re stuck with the gay boy liar for another 2 years.

He won’t call a state of emergency for a moderate snow storm, because most New Hamphire-ites would correctly perceive him as a drama queen for doing so.

I live in Massachusetts near the NH border and it only took me about an hour to shovel my foot of snow this morning. Just a routine snowstorm for me. Now I'm ready to head out to the Dunkin Donuts, which I'm sure will be open.

This "state of emergency" is a crock. There's no emergency here! It's just the governor extending the holiday weekend for his cronies. Had this same storm happened on a Wednesday in a regular workweek, it would have been business as usual the next morning.

Looks like we got 1.5 feet in CT.

Storm starting to wind down here, heading out to shovel and park truck back in driveway.

It’s winter people.

Half a foot of snow is nothing except to
an Obama carpetbagging plant from Chicago installed
by none other than David Axelrod.

I think we should all put aside ideological differences and try to help your Governor (who does look like Barack Obama on steroids) cope with this massive, paralyzing, unprecedented-in-New England, tragic, dangerous storm, which could delay the prompt delivery of aid to women, children, and minorities throughout the Commonwealth. I am not forgetting Gays and Lesbians, even though I had been led to believe that Lesbians, too, are "gay."

Snow in New England. It is caused by Global Warming and by that Dick Cheney and his patriarchal gender normative diabolical Weather Machine, which is of course, George W. Bush's fault.

Now is a good time to remember that Deval Patrick is Governor of all the MAssholes, not just the good people, alive and dead, legal and illegal, who voted for him.

Not all of us are.

In a real blizzard, the roads and highways clog up with cars that get stuck. Going uphill, even with snowtires, without 4WD, in 6” or more of snow is near impossible. Add to that white-out conditions where you can’t even see where you’re going. A lot of people pull over, if they can, and walk to the nearest house or store to wait it out. Their cars will be towed to make room for the plows. Roads and highways will be shut for days. Much of the area will experience power outages.

For metrosexuals living in the city and suburbs, this is high drama.

For rural, somewhat self-sufficient types,a real blizzard is an awesome and beautiful display of God’s expression in nature followed by some work to dig out and a few days of peace and quiet.

After Katrina and the oil spill, you below the Mason Dixon Line have ABSOLUTELY nothing to say about drama.

Hanscom AFB is shutdown today except for essential personnel. I am taking PTO and will be allowed to make it up over the next couple of weeks.

Having grown up in Wisconsin (Yeah, some of us did actually grow up!), this is a nice snow storm. I will have another cup of coffee, shovel a path to the shop and get a fire started in the wood stove, and enjoy the day off.

I'll crank up the snow blower this afternoon and clear the driveway. We have heat, power, water and coffee...life is good!

Wait until the greenies get control of the country and ban “inappropriate technology”...like weather satellites.

Balderdash, old chap. Have you never driven and old Volkswagen? Or a modern FWD car? Or a '48 Plymouth with chains? Or popped on the studs for a few days?

Worst snow cars ever? pre-2000 BMW, Mercedes, Volvo!
