Just heard some a$$hole NYC commissioner on the news saying it was a good thing the schools will be closed tomorrow because normally they devote extra attention to the areas around schools.

Well, duh. Whenever there is a major snowstorm they close the schools (if they are not already scheduled to be closed).

NYC is actually pretty good about staying open and getting cleared—at least in Manhattan.

If they get any snow in DC they will of course close the government down. Frankly from my point of view, too bad it does not snow up there 365 24/7 so they can give the country a break.
