Unfortunately, with Obama at the helm, I think war is inevitable.

Sabre rattling isn’t going to be enough, its just not credible and the Iranian mullahs wouldn’t believe it.

>> Palin: We suspected this before, but now we know for sure because of leaked diplomatic cables.

How is the benefit of this knowledge squared with the Manning/Assange offenses?

An excellent article despite its leaky footing.

I don’t think he will attack any soveriegn nations, he doesn’t have the testicles for it. He’ no George Bush, he’s a loser.

We need to get tough with the “enemies within”, forever, Sarah & all conservatives!

we should look forward to a future where the twisted ideology and aggressive will to dominate of Khomeini and his successors are consigned to history's dustbin.

This is who we need as the leader of the Free World. Not the American-hating Marixst Moslem currently in the white hut.

When the brave people of Iran take to the streets in defiance of their unelected dictatorship, they must know that we in the free world stand with them.

They did, after their farce of an election. Obama showed him where he stood.....far away from them. Horribly botched opportunity.

Much more can be done, such as banning insurance for shipments to Iran, banning all military sales to Iran, ending all trade credits, banning all financial dealings with Iranian banks, limiting Iran's access to international capital markets and banking services, closing air space and waters to Iran's national air and shipping lines, and, especially, ending Iran's ability to import refined petroleum. These would be truly "crippling" sanctions. They would work if implemented.

They would be crippling and may work, but it wouldn't occur without repercussions. Allowing Iran to develop a nuclear weapon is unthinkable. However, taking necessary action to stop it will not cause the regime to just pack it up and go away. I know she's not that naive.

Basically a blockade. Could precipitate a hostile response. Sort of like the Japs attack on Pearl Harbor. Get them to throw the first stone!

It would be a blockade.....and an act of war. Unfortunately, I think their first stone may be nuclear. I have no problems with what she’s said and proposed. You just have to recognize and be prepared for the ramifications.

He doesn't have to start it, he needs only to be weak enough to fail to prevent it. And he's nowhere close to pulling himself up to that level.

The Scots once had a ruler remembered as "Toom Tabard" (Empty Cloak). We now have our own "Toom Tabard" and we will pay the price for his election.

The potential for domestic unrest is so great that Iran may have its hands full before launching suicidal foreign adventures. I doubt anyone there has much taste for the consequences of unleashing American power against it. They were right there and have seen what we have done in Iraq and Afghanistan when our hearts were in it.

We have seen in NK that kowtowing to bigmouth bullies is a loser. Standing up to them and calling them out usually suffices.

I believe we are already paying a huge price for the ineptness and immaturity and cowardice of our very own ‘Toom Tabard’.
