My own belief is that it's an emotional development issue. It seems to happen more commonly in the absence of a father, or in the presence of a weak father and a domineering mother. Once the pattern has been established, it rarely yields to any effort to change it. Sexuality is really a fascinating and strange thing, and the more you explore it the stranger it gets, even among straight people. I suspect some of you already know that. ;-) I'm sure you view yourself as some self assessed mental genius, however you can find what you just discovered for yourself in the Bible, clearly spelled out. It's simply called "Perversion". ("Men shall not lie with men, Women shall not lie with women.") In real life, we are all exposed to choices, either good or evil in God's eyes, and he instilled in us the initial sense of right and wrong, based on how the Bible defines it. Your rational explanation is simply a denial that there is a written and moral law already on the books, as well as in the back of every human being's subconscious.

Um, a weak or distant father IS sin. Boys learn from their fathers. If you aren’t fulfilling your Godly duty, your sins will be visited on your children.
