Jim, we must pray for America. This nation is in serious need of God’s mercy. A day of reckoning is on its way.
Dear Lord,
Abraham prayed for you to spare Sodom and Gomorrah if 10 righteous people could be found. In the same way, we pray that you spare each city of America in proportion to Abraham’s prayer.
Beyond that, we pray that You demonstrate to those with ears to hear and eyes to see what attitude we should take following America’s stepping back from righteousness. We pray that Your take on this would be made clear to all believers.
We pray for intervention in our lives and for the safety of our military who are not involved in this sin. We pray for You to visit those who have perpetrated these decisions, and for Your hand of protection to be available for those who turn from their wicked ways and return unto You.
We pray in Jesus’ name; Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen.

Twenty plus year Army veteran who, today, is glad he made the decision to retire instead of accept promotion several years ago.
Once again soldiers (sailors, airmen and Marines) will die because of the decisions our elected idiots have made.
Nevada, Ohio, Maine (x2), mAssachusetts, Alaska (is Joe giving up yet?) We can't rest.
I am totally against homosexuals serving in the military and abortion, but I am also someone that believes that the best way to destroy bad ideas is by debate. FR is free to decide whomever it wants to post or to zot. On the other hand, I believe that FR is missing an opportunity to confront these issues.

I agree with you, Nosterrex. I’m TOTALLY opposed to the homosexualization of the military, and of our society. But shutting off debate on “Free Republic” — how does that help? I mean, it’s your absolute right to do so, Mr. Robinson — but shutting down debate does not a “free republic” make. And even though I DISAGREE with many Libertarians and libertarian-minded “conservatives” about homosexuality ( on just about every level possible — moral, political, social, cultural, artistic — you name it), debate still should take place among us. It’s gone on here on Free Republic in the past — I’d hate to see it be pushed to another forum now and in the future. Just my $.02 worth. No offense intended...
