The Russian Armed Forces will receive over 1,300 types of weaponry in line with a draft arms procurement program until 2020, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said on Monday.
"We will need to set up new or expand the existing production lines to manufacture 220 of the new types of weaponry," Putin told a meeting on the program, which is expected to be adopted by the yearend.
More than 20 trillion rubles ($640.7 billion) will be earmarked for weapons procurement, three times more than is allocated in the existing 2007-2015 program, he added.
The new program stipulates the upgrade of up to 11 percent of military equipment annually and will allow Russia to increase the share of modern weaponry to 70 percent by 2020.

I gotta say as cool as the P 38 is, the AK bayonet is a great tool system.
Good luck with that Putin. I heard there is soo much corruption in the Russian winter olympics facilities contruction (wow, didn’t see that one coming....) that for the highway they are building to the site, it would cost less per mile if they had applied a layer of caviar, instead of the concrete. The cost overuns for these projects will be in the billions, and now they have a world cup to host as well two years later. More billions in waste I’m sure.

That is hard to believe in the red army but they say it is true.
Hardly. You have read about their latest uniform?
Putin had to publicly retract previous boasts by his naval chief that Russia was going to build new aircraft carriers.
Half their airforce materiel stockpiles were destroyed in this summer's wildfires. etc, etc.
