Vice President Joe Biden won’t be lectured by Republicans about killing Christmas.
“Don’t tell me about Christmas,” said Biden, a former Delaware senator, in an interview with NBC’s Andrea Mitchell. “I understand Christmas. I've been a senator for a long time. I've been there many years where we go right up to Christmas.”

I’m not sure but... I think his wife and daughter were killed when they had gone to get a Christmas tree.
Basically what Biden is saying is that all working Americans are his own little elves.
I think that is a bit much. What he is saying is that many years the Senate worked up until 24 December and then left for Christmas break. What that has to do with hating Christmas is beyond me. I bet a million dollars that he has a Christmas tree up in his house and is in the process of buying gifts for his wife and children just like the rest of us.

wasn’t his first wife killed in an accident at Christmas time? It might just be an unpleasant thought for him this time of year. Yet, he shouldn’t ruin everyone else’s joy because of it.
Sort of like the Praetorians, scholars and rabbi’s who saw Jesus is not the Christ, because they haven’t blessed/confirmed his presence, and that THEY certainly would know better than the mere mortals.
