I watched one of Palin’s episodes last night and was pleasantly surprised with it as a matter of getting a good look at Alaska, its people and the Palin family. But I agree that too much of the reality television formula detracts from Sarah’s credibility if she runs for President. It feeds into her critics’s claim that she is an inexperienced, empty-headed lightweight.

I don’t understand why she did the show. Yes, it gives her publicity and lots of cash.

Most politicians go hunting during election time to show the midwest that they are ‘normal’ people. (thinking of Kerry hunting and wearing his Carhart barn coat while campaigning) But I think Americans already get the Palin hunting thing. So what new information did it give Americans?

Plus, I don’t think the Kate Gosselin connection is going to help her.

No, quite the opposite.

It shows her as a real-life person who can deal with cry-babies like Kate Gosselin and puts people like her in the proper prespective.

After watching the scene of Kate's meltdown and how Sarah handles by basically saying "quit yer cryin'", all I have for Sarah is respect.

This TLC show was a wise move on her part because she is able to reach a segment of the American electorate in a format that is under her control and they understand.

These shows are nothing but a win for Sarah.

I think she has done herself a lot of good with her show. I wish her dad would get his own show.

I suppose you believe that Sarah Palin should act like mittens; IE, be so boring and tedious that no one wants to pay attention to you.

Of course, if you want a more objective picture of what Sarah Palin’s documentary means, you could try Huffington post or one of the other liberal sites. They are clearly frightened that Sarah is connecting with the American people in a very effective manner. How do we know this is happening? A recent poll by Rasmussen showed that 52% of the American people say that Sarah Palin’s values are closer to their own. In the same poll only 40% said the current bench warmer in the White House was closer to their views.

And, it should be noted that no amount of shilling will make Romney acceptable. Period.

Adam and Jamie 2012!

Jamie has a calm, cool, collected style.
Adam likes to blow things up! (Well, *everyone* does, but especially Adam).
Perfect pairing.

Myth: You can get Congress to balance a budget if you locked them all in for a week and don't give them any extra food or water.
Test it out to find if it's plausible.

Earl, you have a serious case of Palin Derangement Syndrome.

May I suggest the names of some Psychiatrists in your area?

Does your health insurance cover mental disorders?

The video at the link was kinda funny. It slams Kate Grosslin way more than Sarah...(basically they are blaming Sarah for having this annoying woman on her show)

We know this was probably TLC’s bargaining chip to get the show, as Sarah had been shopping the idea around with little result. (Libs didn’t want to help promote her in any way)

So I can see Sarah agreeing to do this, knowing she has editorial control and the other episodes were all going to be epic.

She has spent this year reintroducing herself and her family ot America. The next year will be spent sharpening her issue stances with policy speeches and editorials, along with trips abroad to visit other world leaders.

This is a brilliant strategy she has been working to perfection. Her detractors have no idea what is about to come their way...

Even if their opinions are different than mine, if they’re well written, I like to read them. But this guy has nothing worthwhile to say. He makes just 1 point in 2 articles: It was not a shrewd move for her to have a program on TLC. Weak and verbose is a lousy combintion.

And calling here Sarah rather than Sarah Palin, Palin or Gov. Palin illustrates that he harbors some bias. Or maybe I’m wrong. Perhaps he routinely wrote of 0bama as Barack and Romney as Mitt and so on.

Yes,Sarah, Ronald Reagan did have a TV career, too. But it was never with bottom-feeding programs like this.

True, but in Reagan's time, "bottom-feeding programs" were not the opiate of the masses. Reagan's time was when values had values!

If she is such a nothing, then why are they bothering with her?

I wasn’t happy hearing that wacko Kate would be on the show but then learned it might have been a contractual thing with TLC. After seeing the previews with all the whining Kate does, I think this is going to prove a good move by Palin. Can’t wait for the show tonight.

You have absolutely no credibility at FR. You've proven repeatedly that you are dishonest and deceitful. I'd believe David Axelrod and Rham Emanuel before you.

Why not move to Kos full time? You'd be a better fit there.
