Obama installs Clinton alone at the podium, leaves him to it; Obama gone, Clinton still there

The darnedest thing just happened on TV. Still happening. Obama takes Clinton to the White House press briefing room. Turns the podium over to Clinton, and leaves the room. If you didn't have the sound on your TV, it looked like Obama resigned and handed over to Clinton. Clinton still talking, setting up dueling filibuster with Bernie Sanders. Clinton at that podium is bad deja vu.

I just had to jump to the end..has anyone joked about David Carradine and his “grashopper”...this is surely the moment of the karate expert teaching “grashopper” the ways of the world, you know, the little nuisance the USA is to Bambi!
Forgive me, I’m only on post 18o something just had to say it.

It’s hard to write this but seeing Clinton at the podium made me feel someone is at last running the country! Trust me, I hated the clintoons but they’re a far cry better the the brown clown and his friends.

So you know what that unidentified ballistic object was?
Enlighten us. Perhaps a 737-400 with the new afterburner option added for supersonic Asian routes between LA and Hong Kong?

As sick as this sounds, Clinton was 1000% the president Obama wishes he could be.
Someone come chop off my left hand, I feel like I need to be punished.

Shoot, if I was married to sasquatch I wouldn't be crossing her either. And I am female.
No I am not gay, I am married. To a man. Thats how its gonna stay.
Sheesh, who knew the day would come when even an analogy would require a disclaimer....
Must be the fact that Bubba was at the WH podium and people, across the political spectrum, were HAPPY about it.......... its just left me all messed up.
Where's the rum? I need a drink. (Eggnog optional)

The large forehead behind Clinton - Gibbs?
Did he actually think this was a good idea? At this sort of level I’m sure he never had a say in it. Rahm’s gone, and Axelrod’s got a foot out the door. All that’s left is Jarrett.
What a picture. I watched NBC, and they did NOT show Obama leaving the presser. They never mentioned it either. They did show a clip of Clinton standing alone at the podium answering a question.

The body language says it all! Clinton is up there acting presidential (can't believe I ever would say that) fielding questions on a wide range of subjects (including foreign policy and the START Treaty!) and 0bama is subserviently standing there motionless with his hands clasped together. 0bama not wanting to cut in on the Pres. makes a hasty retreat to meet run into the arms of Moochelle.
What a total disaster! I'm beginning to wonder if Obama will even finish out his term.

I predicted the night he was elected he wouldn’t finish his first term, he’d have a mental breakdown. Go nuts. Maybe live on TV.

Any narcissist would absolutely hate for someone to obviously be more popular than he in front of the press. And the excuse of leaving to see Moosechelle is almost worse than the “gotta scoop poop” line during the campaign.
He must be feeling quite unhinged right about now.

Bubba taking charge has just GOTTA make Joe Biden feel SO good, so needed, so important in his 2nd highest job in the land.
Joe was probably sent to "Cominskey Park" in Chicago today to represent The One at Ron Santo's funeral at Cominskey Park....

Exactly, the Michelle comment was an excuse. Obama was jealous of Clinton and rather than step up to the plate to take control of the situation and regain command, Obama walked out of the room in a green snit like the girlie man he is.
Obama acted like a petulant 16 year old girl who stomps out of the ball room at the junior prom because her date is making polite conversation with another girl and not giving her his undivided attention.

Gibbs should have taken over the press conference - he didn't. Obama put him in charge, and Gibbs fumbles. He didn't take control of the last question, as Obama asked him to do before he left. Even Clinton mouthed "help please" to Gibbs, and he sat on fat a$$. He's done. Gone. Bye bye.
The only problem is, there's just as much likelihood that he'll quit out of self preservation before he gets an ultimatum to quit or be fired. That was my takeaway from this. He might be in deep crap right now, but I don't even think Obama has the will to kick people off his staff. He's phoning in the rest of his presidency, and he's going to leave it to others to quit.

I don’t think it will go down in history, because mostly liberals write the history that Americans have vaguely heard about. And liberals are likely to omit the occurrence of today entirely. Now they will write for an eternity about Reagan’s confused state of mind in the first debate with Mondale, but they won’t mention this at all. And I don’t think the American people will mind, as they have a soft spot still for “their bill.”
