I find Rasmussen hard to believe. Hussein has had the Left spewing abuse over his being a sellout for two days now, and yet there’s no statistically-significant impact on his polling numbers? I understand that the polling number for today is a three-day moving average, but STILL we should be seeing something!

Every now and then I see this junk posted and feel compelled to stop by and make two comments:

This poll varies so much it’s useless. As stupid as Americans are, they aren’t that bipolar.

I honestly believe the people either love Obama, or want to love Obama. Obama will be very, very hard to beat in 2012.

The Left will stick with him regardless and Obama probably helped himself with independents and moderates with his compromise. I can see his poll numbers getting better once the GOP controlled House takes office and blocks Obama’s radical agenda. Obama will be able to pull the victim card.

daily tracking polls are worthless. I bet this one has independents liking him standing up to the commies in his party.

“The Left will stick with him regardless’

You wouldn't think so if you turn on Liberal Talk radio or go read a Leftist blog. They are not far away from joining us in asking for his Birth Certificate. But when it comes down to it, they will rally around him again once tempers cool. Election 2012 no matter who we pick on our side is going to be a fight.

I wonder about this poll, though don’t think it’s in error. Dude has a 27% strongly approve. Blacks are what, 18% of the electorate, and probably 90-95% of them still strongly approve of him, simply because of his race. Let’s say it’s only 80%..That would mean, that other than blacks, only 13% of the voters strongly approve of him. With Obama atop the ticket in 2012, that to me, means a blowout for the GOP in the House and Senate..and bad news for Dems

"Obama will be very, very hard to beat in 2012."

Unfortunately, I think you are right.

Even as variable as Rasmussen is, I predict the Obamunist will be
tracking in the +3 to -5 range by the middle of next year.

Is this monthly chart better than the "daily"?

I think a key point is that it is now OK to criticize Obama and to make fun of him. For quite awhile, those things were virtually illegal and that helped perpetuate a sense that "everyone loves Obama".

Now that he can be roasted, there will be more casual conversations between people in which someone says "I think he's a jerk" -- and that can really hurt a politician. It will be a new experience for a lot of the people who voted for Obama.

I have come across many many folk who are staunch RATS and they hate his guts...no lie and I live in a RAT infested city! Ozero is damaged goods and we know the mediaPUKES and pollsters will do anything to keep president Gaffe from becoming another Carter! Rasm(the rat) is quickly becoming the next DAN RATHER of the pollster union!

Obama hard to beat? Yeah /sarc... Only about 690 seats in state and federal elections flipped to Republican in November.

This guy is even weaker than Carter was and his Marxist/socialist policies have scared the cr#p out of the electorate. If the "Pubbies" can't beat this guy pack up your tent and move to Antarctica.

Keep right on listening to your main stream media "experts" like Katie Couric, Keithie O, Crissy "tingles" NPR...etc... they have you right where they want you.. They love glass 1/2 full Conservatives.... 1/2 full thinkers are so used to losing they expect to lose, so they always do...

Only a moron would assume to know what someone watches or thinks from one short internet post. You may be conservative, and you may be passionate, but you lack depth of thought. I could make other assumptions about you, but then... that would be hypocritical.

If the GOP finds another crappy candidate, (i.e. Mitt Romney), Obama will win a second term.

You're certainly not from the "Dog Pound" they believe they can win. I read "Winnie the Pooh" to my 2 year old grand daughter once in awhile and the image of Eyore the donkey makes me think of Republicans that think like you.

Eyore never wins and he never has a good day.

The Browns don't win and my Bills don't win because they expect to lose so they do...

Yep. This is why people who follow stocks use moving averages. Smoothes out the day-to-day static and noise.

Rasmussen uses a three day moving average but a ten or twenty day MVA would be much more interesting.

Bet you're looking forward to this weekend's game! The Browns are shooting for a .500 season, and you guys are in the way. Cheers.

The Bills have lost 3 centers... and starting guard Eric Wood and then his replacement.. along with two right tackles...

If the Browns can't beat the Bills they're like Brownsfan with his political acumen. They must love to lose and are addicted to it.
