Christine O'Donnell on Tuesday compared the "tragedy" of extending unemployment benefits to Pearl Harbor and the death of Elizabeth Edwards. "Today marks a lot of tragedy," O'Donnell, (Snip) "Tragedy comes in threes," O'Donnell said. "Pearl Harbor, Elizabeth Edwards's passing and Barack Obama's announcement of extending the tax cuts, which is good, but also extending the unemployment benefits."

Just go away, Christine. Death, Pearl Harbor, and some federal UE extensions. One of these things are not like the other.

Its because those benefits aren’t paid for. It’s all new debt. Another broken promise from the GOP.

Then again, it might not pass Congress because leftist Democrats and conservative Republicans might not vote for it.

lol.

Christine, I like you, but my dear woman, Pearl Harbor occurred SIXTY NINE YEARS AGO! Not exactly a “trifector” there.

Actually she was referring to the Patriots/Jets game this week. The Jets were bombed like they the were sitting ducks at Pearl Harbor.

Well, I wish I could say I didn't see this coming. This broad is going to haunt conservatives forever, especially if the media has anything to say about it. Every dumb-ass thing that escapes her pie hole is going to be "reported" from every two-bit media outlet in the country.

Please media, stick a camera in Maxine Water's mug, and let's see what goodies you grab from that moron.

Someone died and there is a corollary?

The only thing I see is a common denominator and that would be you Christine.

Frickin’ Idiot.

You sure you aren’t Joe Biden’s little sister?

Christine is so good at getting to the root of an issue. She's just like us, except she's decided that she'll never again need unemployment benefits.

I hope things work out for her between now and 2012.

O'Donnell would have been fine for Delaware but she is not of the quality to be a national spokesperson.

Palin's made of different stuff.

I have opposed this stupid, lying, scamming woman from day one.

She lied about not paying her mortgage, she lied about her degree, she lied about a lot of things and many many freepers ignored that and still supported her.

That IS what extending the unemployment benefits are.......welfare, with a different name.

Three years and counting, of unemployment benefits is paying people to NOT bother taking a job they feel is “beneath” them. Okay, that was a broad brushstroke, but many of the unemployed are doing just what I said; though not all.

I like her, but the comment is silly.

Her overall point is correct, but trying to be clever fell pretty flat.

And, anyway, its best to just note Mrs. Edwards’ passing with condolences for the family, and let it go at that without trying to be clever about it, or trying to draw some political point from it. Sometimes its best to just leave politics aside for a moment.

I suppose we are in “takes one, to know one” territory here. COD needs to go into political hibernation.
