Nope...they won't "get over it" in the same way Republicans didn't forgive Bush 41 over his reversal on his "no knew taxes" pledge. Democrats have had the whole enchilada for two years and they now realize they got nothing on their list but a health care plan which will be gutted or ruled unconstitutional.
The economy will improve and he'll not get credit for it because it was Republican policy that got it going again. He'll get a primary challenge and be defeated in 2012.

It's like a glass of milk, you have 13 more months to drink it, but you get no refill on YOUR ONE FREAKING GLASS OF MILK!
I read it to mean that the law that allows the extension of benefits out to 99 weeks was extended — not the maximum amount of benefits.
So 99 weeks would still be the maximum, but people can continue to go out to 99 weeks for the duration of this extension.

Republicans just helped that case by extending the employment benefits to this segment of the population, guaranteeing 9.8 unemployment for two years. The purists on our side see this as Republicans avoiding the fight this country must have against the Left on these very issues, by kicking the can down the road once again and failing to wield their considerable power given the election we just gave them.
