I wouldn’t be surprised to find more of this type behind the complaints.

Politicians need to know that they’re being manipulated by folks like this and the decision should be overturned IMMEDIATELY.

That said, there’s nothing stopping people from putting up their own display on their own private property (unless they live in one of those tyrannical housing association neighborhoods)

In the town where I used to live there was a guy who had his lawn covered in anti war and pro Communist signs. (He was a teachers union “organizer”) The Baptist church had purchased the empty lot next to his house to use for overflow parking so they put up a manger scene four feet from his driveway.

Whenever he complained they just said “We're praying for you.”
