I just think because it involves civilians and the footage is so compelling, s. Korea will have no choice but to respond.

Probably for two reasons - Civilian involvement, and Korea no longer has any plausible deniability. Remember, it was weeks before SK asserted in was probably a NK torpedo. This, OTOH is immediately identifiable and undeniably an unprovoked military attack resulting in civilian causalities.

I'm not sure how they ignore this, and maintain any credibility with their own people, let alone North Korea, moving forward.
