I can’t help it, I know it’s probably perverse, but I busted out laughing out loud

I’ll wager alcohol was a contributing factor.

Maybe the aging Baez hippy will need a hip replacement.

Ever since I came to appreciate “Lil’ Joanie Phony’s” hypocrisy (with a little help from Al Capp) back in the 60s, I always suspected she might be a trifle unbalanced.
And now, it’s confirmed. She’s truly out of her tree.

You can’t judge Joanie until you’ve heard her sing. Thanks to your Joanie post I could hardly stop listening to youtubes of her.

I remember meeting Baez a number of times in the early 60’s where she, her sister and Bob Dylan used to frequent some of the more seedy Greenwich Village clubs. She and Dylan were a weird, dirty-looking looking duo who had the hots for each other for a while. She had a lot to do with introducing the then unknown Bob Dylan by allowing him to perform at some of her more esoteric concerts. Of the many performers who I met in those days Dylan was among the snottiest of them while she would just sit at an out of the way table with a glassy-eyed stare, ignoring everybody.

Say what you will about her disgusting politics, but Joan Baez has always lived her principles. I can't recall her ever doing a trashy concert. And what do you know but for 68 years old, she still looks pretty good.
