"there were divorce proceedings between the two of them." Perhaps not relevant to 0bama, but filing a fake divorce was once a way to begin the legal paperwork chain to backdoor citizenship via birth certificate requests, etc.

No, not the two of them -- just Anna.
Senior was in Cambridge, MA, at Harvard, during the divorce. Obama Sr. never received notification of the divorce. The copy of the divorce papers was "returned to sender."
