Cynicism aside, this is good news for the US economy and US workers in Georgia. Bet no one thought of TSA's boddy scanners as an economic stimulus!
Not one mention of unionized labor...thank goodness.
I foresee many, many, many new “private” flying clubs. Pay $5 per year for membership plus ticket price and not have to be groped. And no muslims need apply.
Why are they expanding in Georgia instead of someplace like Michigan or California?
We can't have that!!!!! Immediately raise their taxes!!!!!
My guess to get the plant and equipment up and running will not happen overnight, and may take a year or two. Interest Rates are low and my guess is they are flush with cash and what they don't do internally they maybe able to borrow reasonably cheap.
But their is so much more, they are saying IMHO;
1.) Obama will be a one term-er. We will outlast you
2.) Don't take private jets and don't go to Vegas? Ya right, we will be their for the boom in both when you ( Obummer ) are gone.
3.) We are looking forward to more free-market Congress and POTUS over the next two years and going forward beyond that and a return to Free-Market Principles, Tax ,and hopefully Less Federal Spending Policies.
Now the more technical questions for Gulfstream...
· Will they adopt the Spyriod Winglets and....
· Will they make something larger or will Pratt make a smaller Geared Turbofan.
It has been bandied about in the aviation press the combination of these two technologies could reduce fuel consumption up to 25% and be an absolute game changer.
