Tennessee is becoming more and more like a 3rd World Country.

The rating is based on violent crimes crossed with traffic fatalities. But if you have a lot of single-vehicle drunk driver fatalities, does that translate into “dangerous” for the average resident?
I lived in Tulsa and Oklahoma City and wasn’t concern about crime at all.

I'm sorry to see Oklahoma City and Tulsa on the list that
high. I was born and reared in Phoenix, but my families
are from Oklahoma.

Jeez...I'm scratching my head to try to figure out 1) what those ten (10) cities have in common, and
2) Why Little Rock, AR and Pine Bluff, AR isn't in the Top Ten.
Per-captia, Pine Bluff has always been in the top three (3) deadliest cities.

What about Phoenix? It’s supposed to have more kidnappings than any US city. (Or has that been debunked?)

I think these top 10 lists from Forbes are just a way to attract hits on their web site, and that is about it

A sad day when Indianapolis pulls ahead of Gary, Indiana in this particular category.
Not knowing a lot about Oklahoma, I admit I was surprised at seeing Tulsa and OKC on the list.

For the racial makeup of the cities mentioned, see:

Memphis is about 40% black

I live about 50 miles south of Indianapolis and there are places in that city where I wouldn’t go without a squad of Marines and an armored personnel carrier.

Newark? Detroit? South Side of Chicago? Harlem? Bronx?
Well, maybe there’s so many to choose from that they just can’t all fit into the Top Ten. Yeah, that’s the way to look at it.
To: FS11
I am shocked to see that cities such as Newark, NJ are not on this list.

I see that Stockton is falling down the list, I wonder if it’s because it’s actually getting better, or rather that the rest of the top 10 have gotten worse.

Chicago, Las Vegas and Virginia Beach, Va., were not included in the ranking due to lack of data.
How convenient. That says to me Chicago topped the list, Vegas probably in the top 10 also. Hidden stats for Harry and Obongo.

New Orleans, Camden, NJ and Gary, Indiana are no longer on the list ?
What happened?
To: FS11
This list is wacky.
Where is Chicago, Cleveland, Gary Indiana, Oakland CA on this list??
EFin' Tulsa??? North Tulsa yes cause it looks like Oakland!
Remember the story about the 2AM murder in front of a fried chicken drive-in? All the patrons stepped over the dead body and lined-up at the order window. Nobody called 911. The bars had just closed. Everyone had their hunger-on. That's North Tulsa.

This list is silly.
Oklahoma City and Tulsa are not dangerous.
