I was annoyed yesterday when Boehner jumped up and just assumed that he was entitled to be the Republican congressional leader - with Cantor at his side. That’s the same kind of garbage that lead to the anger that was the catalyst for the formation of the tea party. Go Rep. Bachmann! Boehner needs to get out of the way or get run over. It’s a whole new game now and Boehner seems to be in denial about that.

Boehner is the most powerful Republican in America and he has earned his position over decades of steadfast comittment to conservative principles unlike Bachmann who was lucky enough ride the right wave into shore. He doesn’t need to get out of any freshman’s way and I think it more than a little bit absurd to insist that he does. Democrats will certainly try to exploit this perceived “split” within the party. We should not promote such stupidity. Boehner’s conservatism is tested and true. We should be rallying behind him, not undermining him.
