The editors at STARS AND STRIPES must be on a short leash from the Pentagon. When they finally covered the fact that teflon-coated Jill Metzger won her demand to be brought back on active duty after sucking up three years of 100% "disability" pay, readers sent in so many angry messages, the comments section at STRIPES was abruptly shut down. So much for freedom of speech!
"COMMENTS FOR THIS STORY HAVE BEEN STOPPED DUE TO CONTINUAL PERSONAL ATTACKS," whined STRIPES. We can only imagine what would have happened if all the readers had "praised" Metzger and bought into her specious story of "over-powering" an alleged "kidnapper" guard in Kyrgyzstan and running naked and barefoot 30 miles to freedom. That would have surely rated headlines and hosannas from the "politically-correct" paper.
What are they afraid of - the truth? Or has the blatant censorship (see related stories box below) that cripples that newspaper just gotten worse? Do the liberal elitist editors there think our men and women in uniform are dopes who cannot see through such a heavy-handed, stupid action?
How can ANYONE rated 100% disabled possibly be allowed to "spin on a dime" and come back on active duty? No one can, except if your name is Jill Metzger, you "have something" on someone really powerful, your "husband" is an OSI agent, you're a two-time winner of the Air Force Marathon, and your deep in denial, indulgent "daddy" is a retired Air Force colonel with big-time connections.
Have we reached the point where the Uniform Code of Military Justice only applies to those without power? Is AWOL, making a false official statement, disobeying a standing order, adultery, fraternization and conduct unbecoming an officer "OK" if you're a certain female whose "bully-boy" protector wears four stars and has a reputation for brutality? What a pathetically impotent and ineffective Air Force Chief of Staff Norton Schwartz is! We almost prefer nasty-man Gary North in that position. At least you know what you're getting with him. He doesn't try and hide the fact that he's one mean SOB.
ANN STEFANEK, OBNOXIOUS AND INCOMPETENT AIR FORCE PAO
We weren't surprised that obnoxious Air Force PAO, Lt. Col. Ann Stefanek, spouted the line that Jill, in her new job, "will work with some high-visibility programs in the nation's capital, such as the annual Air Force Cycling Classic, the Wounded Warrior Program, and the Military Funeral Honors Program at Arlington National Cemetery."
Are they for real? Is this some kind of sick joke? Can you imagine the families of, let alone those veterans themselves, who are wounded and/or genuinely disabled, wanting to have ANYTHING to do with this pampered and protected former Air Force poster girl? We reported the incident down at Valdosta, Ga. (Moody AFB) where the brave wife of an Air Force NCO berated Metzger at Walmart for being a "disgrace to the Air Force." It certainly is no mystery that the Pentagon decided Metzger couldn't hold a command slot. They know that could start a mutiny - that Noncoms and officers alike would be loath to "salute" or "take orders" from someone so openly reviled throughout the United States Air Force.
One writer said on the AIR FORCE TIMES discussion board - that hasn't been shut down, at least not YET- "This (new job) will put her (Metzger) right in the middle of some people who are going to shame her B-A-D. Military funerals, you've got to be kidding! I would say HELL NO! I think I'd rather have the demonstrators from Westboro."

It's no accident that both STRIPES and the TIMES - whose non-coverage of Metzger is a permanent blot on the journalistic profession - have refused to give MilitaryCorruption.com any credit for our more than two dozen copyrighted investigative news articles on the Metzger cover-up. The STRIPES writer - Jennifer H. Svan - blew off six-million hit-a-month MCC, ten years on the Internet - as a "blog," and our fact-finding in the Metzger case as "spreading rumors."
At least there was some inadvertent "news" in the official propaganda pieces. We read that the FBI concluded their investigation into Metzger a year ago and "will not release the findings." Why the hell not? Likewise, the "stone wall of silence" built up by the Pentagon around Metzger since her implausible "story" first drew criticism in 2006, remains firmly in place.
Do we have to wait for bloat-faced bully Gary North to retire before justice will be done? Those of you going to vote this week in the U.S. mid-term elections know that Gates, Obama's water-boy, won't do a thing about the Metzger cover-up. But if Obama's ilk are swept out of office in unprecedented numbers Nov. 2nd, perhaps Jill will have to reach for the Bromo-Seltzer as the election returns come in. We are patient. We''ll wait as long as it takes.
Let's hope the truth is exposed before Jill's protectors and enablers arrange for her promotion to lieutenant colonel. We hear that's next on their (and her) agenda.

You post a foaming at the mouth screed about a woman that 99% have forgotten about, if they remember the news in the first place. You are all emotion like someone who is on PMS and drunk while typing on Facebook about how her man dropped her.
Rather than bang the keyboard, why don't you do a total rewrite and try and bring people some knowledge? Then they won't consider you a two knuckle deep nose picker.

Then maybe the politics behind bringing her back. Then add in what the troops were saying and what the papers did in response.
Then, don't insult everyone on a message board by calling them liars and deniers and dismiss everyone who doesn't see things 100% your way right off the bat. It only makes people dislike everything you type and want to disagree with you even though they don't know what is going on.
If you type like a teacher sharing knowledge and not like a taunting child, people will read what you want to say and consider it with an open mind. Be objective and save your opinions.
Advance facts and support your views with them. By bringing the topic to a higher level you not only will convince people and educate people, you might reach others who might have additional information on the topic that can expand your fact base. As it is, your post is a failure and will die a well deserved early death unless someone else brings facts to the table.
If you are passionate on the topic, and it appears you are, take your time, edit your own work, and seek to pass knowledge, not gas.
