All that dope from the 60’s and 70’s finally catches up with you............
Mike
I had the same thought. One of my classmates, a heavy user, just sits on his mothers front porch and has for years.
What dope. Never did dope, never will, and yet I have the same problem trying to respond to some of whatever it is we are doing here.
You may be exactly right - it's known that the first place affected in the brain of smokers is the frontal lobe - the part of the brain that makes decisions re right or wrong.
Certainly, pot heads display this symptom...and, supposedly, the damage is irreversible - so would it not be plausible that there is a connection?
Has there been a study to determine the percentage of these victims that were into drugs when young? (Or would that be politically incorrect?)
I remember the dope.
I just can't remember the 60’s and 70’s.
As someone who didn’t do drugs, at age 40 I started forgetting mid sentence what I was saying. Multiple times each day I forget why I walked into a room; sometimes I can’t even remember walking into the room or where I left to go there. I get lost in the grocery store where I’ve shopped weekly for 5 years. I used to have an excellent memory. Now I find myself sitting at a stop light at an intersection I pass weekly, and can’t remember where I am, what I’m doing there, or even where I’m going. It can be pretty disconcerting.
And, yes, the thought of Obama care is even more alarming.
It’s more likely all those prescription drugs they take.
The main side effects of cholesterol-lowering meds are dementia and muscle weakness. Seems like an obvious place to look for a connection.
