An old chestnut:

THE GOLDEN YEARS HAVE COME AT LAST,

I CANNOT SEE, I CANNOT PEE

I CANNOT CHEW, I CANNOT SCREW

MY MEMORY SHRINKS, MY HEARING STINKS,

NO SENSE OF SMELL, I LOOK LIKE HELL,

MY BODY’S DROOPING, GOT TROUBLE POOPING.

THE GOLDEN YEARS HAVE COME AT LAST,

THE GOLDEN YEARS CAN KISS MY A$$

So this is why we are throwing out the democrats.

We are demented.

I thought FTD had to do with flower delivery!

It turns out the 60s weren't anywhere near as good to a lot of people as they thought at the time.

It sounds like part of the CFIDS (Chronic Fatigue and Immune Dysfunction Syndrome) that forced me to quit my job in the late ‘90’s.

It’s scary. But not terminal, and can partially be reversed or controlled by the right stimulus. I’ll never be able to work again, and the symptoms are only apparant (to other people) during a relapse, but one can learn to live around it.

I wonder who put “teaparty” in the keywords

Seldom can one definitively answer a question. I placed 'teaparty' as one of my keywords while publishing the excerpt.

Is someone trying to imply that the tea party is populated by a bunch of demented people? Hmmmmmm...

Certainly not me. But others in other parties and other political camps try to do so routinely. Even some freepers will jump on this to show how Boomers are an unnecessary burden.

Well, you can’t say they weren’t warned...the emcee at Woodstock warned “don’t take the brown acid, man”.

You lucked out.

I have seen the smart change in a very short order of time.

Although the most egregious example was an accomplished hacker before his acid incident, and at least now he isn't competent enough to rip people off financially without getting caught - so maybe it is an improvement.

I wish anyone would inform kids of this fact.

If you believe smoking pot is dangerous to people, than how do you feel about crossing a busy street or getting in your car and driving to the store? Both of those activities are more dangerous than smoking pot.

I understand we can not be trusted to know whats best for us (wait ... isn't that what the liberals and big government are all about?)

“All that dope from the 60’s and 70’s finally catches up with you............”

I remember the dope.

I just can't remember the 60’s and 70’s.

Oh...so this is my Mom’s house. I was wondering whose house this was.

I thought that lady was so nice to keep bringing me food out here.

One of the most stupid comments I have ever seen on FR.

As someone who didn’t do drugs, at age 40 I started forgetting mid sentence what I was saying. Multiple times each day I forget why I walked into a room; sometimes I can’t even remember walking into the room or where I left to go there. I get lost in the grocery store where I’ve shopped weekly for 5 years. I used to have an excellent memory. Now I find myself sitting at a stop light at an intersection I pass weekly, and can’t remember where I am, what I’m doing there, or even where I’m going. It can be pretty disconcerting.

And, yes, the thought of Obama care is even more alarming.

If you have FTD does that mean you have to send flowers

Only if you remember why you were in the store, what you wanted to buy, and why and where you want the flowers sent.

Excellent play on the abbreviation, Citizen M! Really good.

Great post. Now I just have to figure out where I should save it, so I don’t forget where I filed it.

Now what was I doing?
