Why Barney Frank is in danger of losing
Salon ^ | 102510 | Steve Kornacki

A new Boston Globe poll puts Barney Frank ahead of his GOP challenger, Sean Bielat, by a 46 to 33 percent margin. That may sound like good news for the incumbent, until you consider that Frank, who was first elected in 1980, has never won a general election by fewer than 20 points -- and that he's notched at least 64 percent of the vote in every race since 1990.

It's not hard to see what's going on here. As I wrote back in January, when Scott Brown knocked off Martha Coakley, Massachusetts is a perfect example of how the 2008 election changed voters' perceptions of the two parties almost overnight. For the previous decade and a half, the Bay State's electorate (and the electorates of similar blue states) had shunned the GOP. This was a result of the 1994 Republican revolution, which certified the national GOP -- once a big-tent party full of moderates who could win in culturally liberal states -- as a Southern-based party rooted in cultural conservatism and religious fundamentalism. With that GOP running Congress after '94 (and the White House after 2000), Massachusetts' swing voters revolted against the GOP label. It's not at all a coincidence that the party, which won two House races in the state in '94, hasn't won a single one since then.

It would be sweet justice to see Bawney get pounded this November (and not in the way he likes it, either.)

Frank’s “ex” who was the Fannie Mae exec quietly took a job with the FDIC in California.

Maxine Waters and Frank are implicated in a scandal alleging that they pressured the FDIC to give TARP assistance to a California bank partially-owned by Waters’ husband.

Google: “Frank, fdic, fannie”

If even a liberal rag like Salon is pointing out that Barney is in danger it must be a lot worse than it appears. He can’t get to 50% and the undecideds are not going to break for him. Unfortunately for us they may just stay home.

It escapes me how this deviant faggot from Massachusetts continues to be re-elected.
And it causes me to think extremely poorly of the rest of the folks in that state.

As a thought, why don’t Freepers log onto the various lib sites, posing a libbers, and complain about how disappointed you are in the democrats inability to pass things like comprehensive immigration reform, cap and trade, even longer jobless benefits, more stimulus, etc. Say the you are unemployed and someone just has to help, you are running out of benefits, You don’t know what you are going to do, you just cannot continue to support the Dems because they have not done enough. Maybe you just won’t vote this time.

You’ve got to remember that Massachusetts also willingly votes to keep the state income tax. This year its on the ballot to lower it to 3% and people are kicking and screaming that we will lose services. Mass people are idiots, yet they are good sports fans.

1. Frank is in a lot more trouble than the GLOB poll states. It’s way closer than that.

2. That district is notoriously liberal yet Brown won it last January.

3. He hasn’t had a serious challenger until now.

I don't think you can call him a faggot. He is a congressman after all. Rump Ranger or Butt Monkey are more suitable euphemisms.

Actually, income tax roll-back initiative petitions generally pass in MA, though the legislature may ignore/modify the question after it passes. This year there are two tax-related questions on the ballot, both dealing with sales tax reductions. El Globo poll over the weekend had both losing, but that's El Globo.

All the more reason to support the "Barney-Killer" ad by StopBarney: "BETRAYED OUR TRUST"

I donated to this ad because I think Sean Beilat can win, but not with the "dancing Barney" and humorous ads he's running now. This ad is devastating, and will end Barney's career.

The Boston Globe had Frank up by 13 with 10 days to go. However, the same Boston Globe had Martha Coakley up by FIFTEEN over Scott Brown with 10 days to go, and we know how THAT turned out. BTW, Scott Brown also won Barney’s district. This is looking good for Sean Beilat. Especially if those folks see THIS ad.

This is the same state that kept Fat Drunk Ted in the Senate until his death, and continues to keep Jahn Effin' Kerry in the Senate.
