Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is taking matters into his own hands.
He's run a scorched-earth campaign from the start, but until now, Reid has rarely been the mouthpiece for the attacks, preferring to leave it to his staff, surrogates and campaign ads.
Not anymore.
The 70-year-old Democrat, once not much more visible than the opponent he derided for hiding from the media, is suddenly everywhere, and he's on the offensive.
He derided his Republican opponent, Sharron Angle, as "radical," "dangerous" and "embarrassing to the state of Nevada," in a Thursday interview with MSNBC's Ed Schultz.
At an appearance earlier in the week, he asked the crowd, "Have you noticed that every time my opponent screws up, which is quite often, she goes into her bunker? ... If you can't talk to the media while you're running for the United States Senate, you shouldn't be running for the United States Senate."
At another stop, he mocked her views of the separation of church and state: "If my opponent wants to run on her constitutional expertise, she should at least know what's in it," he jabbed.
The turning point seems to have come with Reid's widely panned performance in his sole debate with Angle earlier this month. On the debate stage, the closest he came to a dig was to say, with a bemused look, "These ideas of my opponent are really extreme." It was Angle's forced but punchy "Man up, Harry Reid" that became the takeaway sound bite.

So Reid thinks 15% unemployment is an honor for Nevada?
The only way Reid can win this election is with ANOTHER trunk load of “whorehouse” votes! That’s how he won one of his elections, I kid you not!!
It’s been personal since the get go from Harry.
He has used other groups to go after her trying to appear as if he had no worries and now he sees that there is indeed something for him to worry about.
His supporters are amplifying their attacks as well.

They have been the most fanatical of all the media apparatchiks this political season. They are hysterical and insane.

I've been writing "Dingy" Reid, but have noticed that the word can have two pronunciations:
1.Din-ghee, dingy.
2.Ding-ey, dingy.
Rush calls him din-ghee. I prefer ding-ey.
But either accurately describes old Dingy Harry.
Harry Reid = 15% unemployment in Vegas.
Case Closed.

Pimp paid for first Harry Reid campaign, former manager says; takes lie detector to prove claims

“...Williams claimed that on two occasions he delivered to Reid at least $10,000 in cash from Mustang Ranch owner Joe Conforte as early as 1970, during Reid’s lieutenant governor campaign. The lie detection test, dated May 30, confirms the veracity of Williams’ statements that Reid built part of his campaign war chest with his ties to Conforte.
The Reid-Conforte relationship began when Reid asked his campaign manager to meet the brothel owner, Williams said. The Mustang Ranch operator was known in political circles as a tracker of Nevada’s races and generous donor.
“Reid implored me to take this meeting because he did not want to be spotted huddling with Conforte. I agreed,” Williams said.
The men discussed politics at a restaurant, until Conforte cut the meeting short and asked Williams to step outside. Conforte opened his car’s trunk to reveal a pile of absentee ballots. Each was marked for Reid, he told Williams. The brothel owner then directed the campaign manager to deliver a thick envelope to the politician.
“I gave it to Reid the next day,” Williams said this week. “He opened it in front of me. It was full of hundred-dollar bills.”

You can be assured of plenty of dirty tricks this time as well. The difference will be how it's handled.

If it were legal...I would belt the shit out of Harry Reid in the mouth every time he opened it. But...it’s illegal so we do the next best thing...vote his ass out.
