At least six people identifying themselves as National Public Radio employees have collectively given $2,560 to Democrats in the past five years, according to campaign finance data.NPR’s own internal policy prohibits political contributions, but the network maintains that none of the six employees were required to abide by the ethical guidelines.Publicly available data on OpenSecrets.org reveals a total of 10 contributions from six employees, all of whom listed “National Public Radio” or “NPR” as their employer. One employee made multiple donations.NPR instituted its ethics policy in 2004, according to NPR ombudsman Alicia Shepard.

***NPR’s own internal policy prohibits political contributions***

If they are prohibiting NPR employees from making political contributions - that is UNCONSTITUTIONAL!!

But I suspect the motive is to suppress the fact that 100% of the people they hire are Marxists.

That amount is peanuts. I am sure it is 10 times as much, but the donation was made through their spouses or, more likely, their “domestic companions.”

Betcha this is one closet chock full of elitist poor ‘judgements’. NPR deserves a good ‘acorning’.

Back in the early 70's I was hired to restore a small radio station to the air after the FCC revoked its license from the former owner.

It seems the former owner wanted to run for Mayor of the town, but refused - as station manager - to sell his opponent any air time. Also, the manager refused to take himself off the air at the start of his campaign, which was required back then under the political advertising guidelines.

Well, his opponent reported the station owner/manager to the FCC and the agency fined the station owner/manager - but being the dumbass democrat that he was, he decided he would rather fight the FCC. He lost. They revoked his license.

Now I say all that to say this - I don't know what the rules say now, as I've been out of broadcasting since the early 80's, but if they are anywhere as strict on political things as they were then, it seems all of this hoo-rah for the democrats on the part of NPR puts their affiliate stations at some sort of risk...after all, what goes out over the air is the responsibility of the affiliates, and not the network.

Just sayin'....oh, and we did restore the station to the air and I ran it for 8 years until I retired from b'casting.

NPR employees . . . donate . . . to the DNC? I thought they were paid propagandists of the RAT Party.

I believe that an NPR station in Boston (WGBH or WBUR) got it’s hand slapped a few years ago for handing over it’s donor lists to the Democrat party during an election season, or something of that type.
