Friends, we have a chance to be in the victory party this November. Steven Palazzo has taken the lead in the polls, now is the time to ramp it up and get him over the finish line. Then we will have a rep that WILL be accountable to US.

Forwarded from our friends:

Dear Friends,

Please plan to attend the Conservative Rally on the Biloxi Town Green on Monday, October 25 from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. featuring 4th Congressional District Candidate Steven Palazzo and special guest U.S. Representative Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn. A $20 donation at the gate will be appreciated to help defray expenses of the event. The Jackson County Republican Executive Committee will provide refreshments for the event. Please come and help make this event a success. If you have any questions, please call Vivian Dailey at 228-238-6674 or email vdailey@cableone.net.

Thanks,

Theron Furr
Chairman, Jackson County Republican Executive Committee

MEMORANDUM

TO: PALAZZO FOR CONGRESS

FROM: ED GOEAS

NICHOLAS THOMPSON

RE: FINDINGS FROM SURVEY OF MS 4 VOTERS

DATE: OCTOBER 20, 2010

________________________________________________________________________

The Tarrance Group is pleased to present Palazzo for Congress with the key findings from a survey of voters in the 4th Congressional District of Mississippi. Responses to this survey of N=300 registered "likely" voters were gathered October 18-19, 2010. The margin of error associated with a sample of this type of +/- 5.8%.

KEY FINDINGS

Icumbent Democrat Congressman Gene Taylor is in danger of defeat, as Republican challenger Steven Palazzo has pulled into the lead in the race for Congress. Among voters overall, Palazzo leads Taylor by +2 points, 43% to 41%. Another 3% support other candidates, and 12% of voters are undecided.

Palazzo holds a +8 lead among voters who know both candidates (48% to 40%), and he leads by +9 among voters who say they are "extremely" likely to vote in the election (49% to 40%).

Another advantage for Palazzo is the intensity advantage of his voters. While 81% of Palazzo voters are extremely interested in the upcoming election, only 55% of Taylor voters feel the same way.

Voters have made the decision that it is time for a change. Only 36% say Taylor deserves re-election, while 45% say it is time for a new person in office.

The political environment is a clear advantage for Palazzo, as Republicans hold a +9 point lead on the generic congressional ballot. While 47% say they are supporting the Republican candidate, only 38% support the Democrat.

He’s not such a good man. He is as two-faced, arrogant and self-serving as any pol you likely meet.

A guy named Palazzo beating a fairly conservative and popular Dem like Taylor in Mississippi? Dems are in trouble.

I remember going to Nashville about 11 years ago and found about 1 pizza place in town. It was on the edge of town that was sort of fancy area. SE part of town? I forget. They were pretty busy at lunch and they made a good pizza.

Steve Palazzo must be a good guy. Is he a veteran?

“If Taylor loses or even threatened, the Dimocrats are truly in trouble!”

Precisely. When I saw this headline, I went “Holy Crap!”, because if Taylor... a man more conservative than many Republicans... is in trouble, then the Democrats are in for a Republican wave of Biblical proportions, and the polls are underestimating just how much.

He will come closer to losing this time than ever before. Citizen Liberty / The 912 Project have been relentless in campaigning against Taylor.

Taylor has been confronted at every town hall type meeting for over two years. He can not and will not explain his vote to support Pelosi as speaker. The folks are wise to his voting record; no principled votes against socialism. He has held his vote to the end to ensure the bills past then voted against them so save his seat. He is a weasel.

In 1988, Steven enlisted in the Marine Corps Reserves and was proud to serve with the 3rd Force Recon in the Persian Gulf War spending time in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. In 1997, Palazzo enlisted in the MS National Guard where he currently still serves. Most recently, Steven spent a year supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom at Mobilization Center Camp Shelby.

I'll try to be there on Monday.

Is the Biloxi green the area in front of the Biloxi Museum (rebuilt after Katrina?), across from one of the Casinos?

Palazzo is running an outstanding campaign. I’m sure it helps a great deal that Haley has taken the state GOP in hand. A lot of state parties would just write off a race like that.
