Ike Skelton is getting crap for using foul language on the floor of the U.S. House.

His Republican challenger, former state Rep. Vicky Hartzler, has debuted a new ad splicing together criticism of Skelton’s record with a March recording of him swearing at fellow Rep. Todd Akin (R-Mo.) on the floor of the House.

“Ike Skelton on what we can do if we disagree with his support for Nancy Pelosi’s extreme agenda,” the narrator says.

“Stick it up your [expletive],” Skelton says in footage from C-SPAN, with the expletive bleeped out. His comments run three times in the 30-second spot.

Skelton’s remark was picked up by C-SPAN microphones but wasn’t included as part of the Congressional Record. Akin and other Republicans were objecting to using a defense bill to expand hate crimes legislation to cover crimes based on sexual orientation.

That’s comedy. They should end the spot with a cameo of Dick Butkus saying “Listen to the mouth on that guy.”.

She needs to close this out with an ad featuring Jimmy Carter and Obama on a split screen with some common graphics (unemployment, taxes, and spending)arrowing upwards fade to dark. Then show good photo of Ronald Reagan, proposed tax cuts and spending reductions. Then fade to a picture of Ike Skelton captioned that Ike supported Democrat tax and spend policies over the proven Reagan tax cuts.(big “NO” across the screen with Reagan”s picture captioned with “Tax Cuts”. naration: he voted against the 1981 Reagan tax cuts. Photo of President Bush, He voted against the 2001 Bush tax cuts. No again in 2002 to making the Bush tax cuts permanent. Now back to pics of Obama and Pelosi. Ike may try to act conservative but we know where his roots are planted. Do we really want to keep the worn out policies of Carter and Obama? Vote Viki Hartzler, vote for a conservative that you can trust. I know that she probably has to play it safe but I would drive the point home that he voted against The Reagan tax cuts, against the Bush tax cuts and can't be trusted to cast that kind of vote again.
