Democrat Dannel Malloy has pulled ahead to a 7 point lead in the race for governor in the latest Quinnipiac University poll that was released this morning.
Malloy, the former mayor of Stamford for 14 years, had 49 percent of those polled, while Foley, the former U.S. ambassador to Ireland, had 42 percent.
The poll showed that 7 percent are undecided and 20 percent say they could change their mind before Election Day. In a bad sign for Foley, he has the same 42 percent that he had in the last Quinnipiac Poll that was released on September 29, said Douglas Schwartz, the poll director...

Grrr... make that "WORK harder"...
I know it's a bother, but it'll make FR more useful.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. We need a damned edit button! Jim you listening?
I will bet that the final margin will be much closer.
Yup. Not having an edit function is retarded and is a major reason for my retarded contributions.
Lots of these polls are coming from everywhere. There is a perceived need for the Dem candidates to look better as we approach the election. The hope is that if the Dem is perceived as having a better chance will energize the Dem voter. The only poll that counts is 11/2/2010 and we need to get out the vote as well as to expose the Democrap Frauds.
I think QU is the same outfit that had Lamont winning the Demo primary and he lost badly. So this season we see that polls can be very wrong. Still I would not be surprised Malloy is ahead. Though he was so maudlin in his closing statement at the debate this week I thought that would have turned a lot of viewers off.

Sorry... I am a bit under the weather, and was in a hurry to get this article posted. Plus my computer - and FR - was hiccuping to boot.
Dan Malloy = the democRAT candidate in the Connecticut gubernatorial race.
Tom Foley = the Republican candidate in the Connecticut gubernatorial race.
And I should have added "CT" in the title so FReepers would know at a glance that this thread is about a Connecticut race.
I am working full time on a state House race. I know others doing the same on other state House races. It is now 114 to 37.
It is reasonable to think we will get them under 100 (99 to 52). Beyond that takes hard work, which CT GOP is not known for.
