52 arrested in sweeping Medicare fraud case
The defendants, largely from L.A. and New York, allegedly are part of an Armenian organized crime outfit. Feds say they stole doctors' and patients' identities and submitted $160 million in bogus claims.

Authorities arrested more than two dozen Los Angeles-area residents early Wednesday for their alleged roles in a nationwide scheme to bilk Medicare out of more than $160 million.

The investigation, dubbed Diagnosis Dollars, resulted in the arrests of 52 people across the U.S. in what authorities described as "the largest Medicare fraud scheme ever perpetrated by a single criminal enterprise."

The defendants allegedly are members or associates of an Armenian "organized crime enterprise" known as Mirzoyan-Terdjanian, according to federal law enforcement officials. They allegedly stole doctors' identities and used the information to enroll the phantom physicians as providers in Medicare, authorities alleged.

We MUST continue to allow immigration from the Armenian Communist Party.

We MUST NOT do background checks on immigrants from the Armenian Communist Party.

This crime will never get to trial.

Aren’t the Armenians friends of Senator Boxer?

Reason 451 why neither the Federal or any State government should not be responsible for the administration of any program. Say what you wish about private insurance carriers but the likelihood of this happening to a for-profit organization are pretty low.

I live near Glendale and have noticed this strange pattern over there. There are tons of young Armenian guys who look like they do nothing all day but hang around, and drive $100K cars and wear pricy designer clothes. I’ve wondered where all that money comes from.

I live in La Crescenta, and I’ve observed the same thing...and wondered the same things.
They also have no regard whatsoever for any of society’s other laws.

I got a lot of flack for mentioning this once before, but it happens to be true. Armenian MediCal and Medicare fraud has been a cliche in Glendale for twenty years. Each group of immigrants seems to settle into its own means of making a living. For immigrants from organized crime families in Armenia, it’s been government benefits fraud.

Obviously, it’s a minority of Armenian immigrants, but for that particular subset, it’s a cottage industry.

Another ethnic - occupational combine in L.A. is Israeli immigrants running moving businesses. Moved with them several times. The former special forces guys are really good movers. Okay... a little noisy... but otherwise...

They have been supporting her because she has championed their cause of the genocide proclamation not because she cares but because of votes. Boxer is a political weasel like most Democraps. She’d vote for sharia if there were enough Mooslems living in her state and financing her.

The genocide refers to the millions of Christians - Greeks- Armenians, and Assyrians - that Turks murdered.

Unfortunately as I have said to Armenian friends - she has not delivered and they need to look elsewhere...perhaps next time. After all, the only President who called it a genocide was Reagan. Not a Democrat by any means.
