Rep. Eddie Bernice Johnson said Monday that she should have been more diligent in overseeing the allocation of scholarship money that ultimately went to her relatives and the children of an aide. But she refused to apologize or acknowledge that she did anything wrong.

So the other shoe has now dropped. She knew her actions were unethical and detrimental to deserving (if a requirement of a 2.5 GPA can called deserving but I guess you go with what you have) students in her own district, and as usual, she'll get a free pass. I don't see how Pastor Broden has a chance against her. One can only hope.

no one really expects a politician to be able to distinguish right from wrong nor the constituents that voted for them to know any better, do they

So very true... My guess, she will be reelected just because she is black in a black district. They just don’t give a damn... It’s all about money coming back to them, hell with America.

If this were a Republican this wouldn’t be a friendly column inside the Metro section, it would be a front page attack.

She owns that district, is anyone even running against her? It’s probably not worth it.

The people that elected Eddie Bernice Johnson are similar thereunto to the people that continue to reelect Charlie Rangel. In their view it is totally a racial thing. It is them against us. They are getting exactly what the deserve.

What was it that the loser, algore, said when caught taking illegal campaign contributions in a Buddhist temple: There is no (?) legal authority.

I took full responsibility for it because it happened in my office, she said. No clue as to what that means, has she?

Why would anyone think that a member of a racist organisation like the Congressional Black caucus would have any idea what the word Ethics means?
It is The Klan with a tan.

With Pastor Broden running against her, they can no longer address it as a racial issue. How will they play it now?
