If Boehner was really serious about reducing our dependence on foreign oil, he would be pushing Karl Denninger’s suggestion of building new nuclear power plants on US military facilities in all fifty states, to be operated by the US Navy. Local NIMBYs and politically connected energy cartels could do absolutely nothing to stop it. It would cost a lot less than the bailouts.
Excellent idea. Are the nuclear plants in ships and subs scalable, because they have an outstanding safety record.
