Why do they say miscarriage if she was attacked? Wouldn’t that be more like murdered?
If it were to go to court in the USA yes there is precedent for murder charges against an assailant who causes a miscarriage. Miscarry is more of a quasi-medical term than a legal one.
In Syria, however, anything might be possible.
