PITTSBURGH (AP) Officials in a western Pennsylvania school district are apologizing to parents after students at a local high school were accidentally shown pornographic pictures during a presentation on the importance of donating blood.
More than 400 seniors at Norwin High School in North Huntingdon Township were watching the presentation Friday morning when school officials say "a few pornographic pictures" that were on a personal flash drive of a Central Blood Bank representative were shown on the screen.
"It just popped up all of the sudden," and remained on the screen at least 15 seconds, senior Krysta Haines said. "We were like, oh my God, are you serious?"

You CAN get paid for donating plasma from your blood. (I assume the products made from it generate even more profit for the suits.) The standards for a plasma donor are a little more strict than for giving blood.
I was inelligible due to my mailing address differing from my home addy. Sheesh.

ANOTHER REASON TO HOMESCHOOL
This ping list is for the other articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself) The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.

Save some money for your fidelity budget. The employee screwed up. How is this any different than the employee who gets fired for surfing porn sites at work?
(S)He was using "official" equipment to transfer porn photos.
No matter what you do in your home life regarding this, it doesn't come into the office if you don't use the office equipement.
The flash drive was a "shortcut". And someone messed up big time.

The story misses the main point- if the kids were in class doing regular class work, this would not have happened. One more liberal outside organization (central blood bank) getting their hooks into kids. Teachers are fine with this - an assembly is easier than teaching. The whole purpose of public school these days seems to be assemblies to indoctrinate the kids for 12 years. Whether in a large group setting or in classes of 40.

I attended a seminar in Chicago back in the 90’s for a company called Sola. Sat next to a very beautiful Persian woman. The Sola rep was doing his slideshow when up pops a picture of this gorgous naked woman with the biggest set of hooters you’ve ever seen.
The rep said ‘Whoops!! How did that get up there?’, grins and goes on like nothing ever happened. Obviously planned, but the Persian lady next to me did not find it very humorous.
