Oh my, you have experienced quite a few hurricanes. My son has been in a hurricane a few years ago in Florida. He was visiting a friend in Pensacola. He was scared to death. I have never been in a hurricane or a tornado
HONORABLE MAN PING
I had a tornado go right through the front wheel of my Harley while I was riding. Of course it was in a section of Ft. Lauderdale that is considered the extreme western corner of the Bermuda Triangle!
So there I was, sprawled on the highway, with my bike SPINNING around next to me like a food processor. I had the good sense to leap off of it, so that I was not ground down into the pavement.
It was a tiny tornado, but enough to cause $1500 on my beloved bike, and a whoppin’ case of road rash.
An no, it was NOT President Bush’s fault.
I grew up in Florida, so I was in several hurricanes. My Dad was always there to explain exactly what to do and what was going on and I always felt safe.
I miss my Daddy.
My husband and I were in the Los Angeles earthquake in 1987. That was much more nerve racking, but it was over quick (although it seemed longer).
Thanks for posting this Dose!
