U.S. Files Discrimination Lawsuits On Behalf Of Muslims
Judicial Watch ^ | 9/2/2010

Posted on 09/02/2010 9:45:01 AM PDT by markomalley

The Obama Administration’s taxpayer-funded Islamic defense program has been quite busy this week, filing several discrimination lawsuits on behalf of Muslims in different parts of the country and holding Justice Department meetings to discuss prosecuting “anti-Muslim hate speech.”

The legal actions come on the same week that the White House and various federal agencies—including the Department of Homeland Security—hosted a special workshop to provide members of radical Islamic groups with direct access to U.S. government funding, assistance and resources. Read all about that here.

Now the administration is flexing its legal muscle in its ardent quest to befriend the enemy. A federal civil rights agency known as the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has filed discrimination lawsuits against companies in Nebraska, California and Colorado for discriminating against Muslims by not accommodating prayer breaks and forbidding a headscarf on the job.

The government sued meatpacking plants in Greeley Colorado and Grand Island Nebraska for religious and racial harassment because dozens of Muslim employees were “denied prayer time” during the Islamic holy month of Ramadan. The lawsuit seeks changes to policies and procedures to accommodate Muslim workers, payment for past and future damages and punitive damages.

In a third lawsuit filed this week the EEOC claims that an outdoor apparel store discriminated against a Muslim female job applicant in northern California because she wore a headscarf known as a hijab. The company has a longstanding employee dress code banning any sort of head covering but the government asserts that in this particular case it’s discriminating on the basis of religion.

Also this week, the Justice Department met with a coalition of Islamic groups that demand the administration criminally prosecute anti-Muslim rhetoric as hate speech. Besides investing more resources to combat discrimination against Muslims, coalition leaders want Attorney General Eric Holder to “make a strong public statement” condemning hate crimes, harassment and discrimination against Muslims.

The government has already carved out an exception to the First Amendment for the benefit of abortion clinics. Now they are trying to carve out another one to prohibit saying anything which might offend a Muslim.

I don't know if they can find juries who would convict people for merely expressing negative views of Islam...but maybe the idea is to silence people by threatening prosecution or fines.

I heard a quote years ago: “In saudi arabia, if foreigners don’t do it, it ain’t gettin’ done.”

True but that doesn’t apply to their pederast activities.

Or, stoning.

Or, beheading.

Or, .......______________.

Biology textbooks won’t be able to describe the theory of evolution unless they incorporate the Islamic view of the origin of certain human groups.

My religion would require me to work for two days (and be PAID for 5!!) and fish the other 5 days of the week. It would also require the government to provide me with a 30+ foot boat from which to fish in the event that I didn’t have one (I don’t!!).

I’ll join you in your suit because I’m pretty sure that my employer won’t go along with it!!

I saw a slideshow that someone posted on Hillbuzz this a.m. that seemed to present a logical reason why zero doesn’t want his birth certificate shown and it isn’t because he was born in Kenya. It’s because it says Arab African.

This would tie in to the Arabs paying for his time at Harvard at the very least and probably the huge funding he got from mysterious sources to get him in office.

I suspect the Arabs are behind the environmental no domestic drilling movement as well that zero has emphasized. Now they’re making their big moves with the plants in place they are suing to take us over, just like they said they’d do.

I just can’t take it anymore, can you? Until, and unless, the lame stream media starts reporting the truth about the Obama administration, Obama and the liberal dims, we stand to lose our country as we know it and love it. Before you know it, no one who is not of an ethnic minority, illegal, non-Christian or of color will have any rights left at all. I think we all need to be prepared for the consequences should we fail to take back the House and the Senate in 2010 and get savvy conservatives in all open seats. We just have to do it without any help from the biased, traitorous liberal media.

If our employers don’t like it, obama will love it. Even better if we can throw in something about how the [Fill in the blank with members of the mean group of choice] are ganging up on us but why can’t we all just get along...

The only possible good that can come of this is if the Republican presidential candidate in 2012 actually uses it to his/her advantage...Talk about it, run ads about it, put it in the voters’ faces day in and day out, bring it up in debates.

I wonder what it feels like to be owned. What an irony that the leader of the free world is a black man enslaved to the Arabs.

If there is any validity to that argument, I can’t wait to see the fallout. Things don’t stay buried forever. Nothing does.

In a free country, an employer should have the right to insist that an employee wear a nun's habit, if that's what the employer wants. This lady is the definition of insubordination.

Christians get this type of protection???

Well they are considered hate speakers when they preach against homosexuality, and Canada already prosecutes these preachers, coming here soon.

However, the increasingly aggressive behavior of radical Islamic groups

What do you think happens to the "Non Radical Muslims" after the Radicals become the Imams in the Mosques?

We have got to take back our country starting on November 2nd or we’re doomed and our children and grandchildren will be slaves.

The cleansing of the House of Lords has to be at the local, state, and federal level. All corrupt, Elitist, arrogant vermin must be voted out.

Exposure is what they fear the most.

No, its open season on Christians, Mormons and Catholics. They can’t bring a Bible to work, school or wear any religious symbols as it “violates the separation of church and state,” which isn’t in the Constitution by the way.

However, Congress is prohibited from establishing a religion or preventing the free exercise of it. Not sure I’m quoting this right, but, I think everyone knows the correct meaning.
